Seventh Moon

Another movie I saw years ago that I couldn't forget about. So I hunted the internet until I found what it was called. Found it right away here, and purchased. Worth the watch and the buy. And Amy Smart is the lead actress so its always nice to have a familiar face in a lesser known movie. Produced by the company that brought us Blair Witch. So, decent.

Ugh, just bad. I've seen a lot of dumb horror, but this was one of the worst, because it wasn't even fun.

I am not sure if the negative is to blame or it might be the scan, but the picture wuality is pretty rough. Very soft looking movie. Almost as if you are streaming.

I really was surprised how much I liked this movie. I've watched it several times when it aired on IFC and each time enjoyed it more. The scares aren't in your face but it just has a creepy tone throughout. What really surprised me was how moved I was by the relationship between the newlyweds. The ending was especially bittersweet. I highly recommend seeing it.

I thought this movie was going to be ridiculous and cheesy and found myself really into. We saw it years ago and recently decided to buy it!

I'm glad I only paid pennies for this... I was quite excited at the prospect of a Chinese folk horror movie but I can only assume that the camera work was done by someone with a St Vitus Dance condition. It isn't rot remotely scary and every frame is wobbly. That worked in Blair Witch due to it having the basic premise of being hand held film and found footage. This doesn't have that excuse and that along with the non-stop frame editing makes it very difficult to watch, which is a shame because Amy Smart would otherwise be quite watchable. The "creatures" (as pictured) are just bald blokes painted white with black eye makeup.

This is probably one of the best horror movies released on the Ghosthouse underground label. It stars the sexy Amy Smart who marries a Chinese man and spends her honeymoon in China, but unaware that it just happens to be the night that demons awaken from hell and walk the earth, it just so happens the legend is true and she and her husband have to survive the night trapped out in the dark in the middle of nowhere! It has some good creepy scary moments throughout and the demons are pretty cool and creepy to look at, they remind you of the decent creatures, very good make-up design on them, there's allot of creepy running around in the dark very much like the Blair witch project in some ways but better of course, there is some mild blood and gore, It's all on a low budget but is pretty well made and very enjoyable if you love this kind of thing. Good original film, worth a watch for sure, pick it up cheap!! horror bargain now!!DVD has no features but a trailer which is a shame!
