Fodor's Edinburgh 25 Best

I bought this guide ahead of a short break to Edinburgh. I found the guide to be very useful both ahead of and during my visit. The laminated street map was particularly useful.

We borrowed several books from the library in anticipation of a visit to Edinburgh, Scotland. Mom loved the pull out laminated map included in its own plastic snap-closed pocket in this book, so I bought her her own copy so she could plan her days right in the book. She marked pages, wrote notes, highlighted must-sees, charted her bus routes... she was ready to go! The information was fairly recent and largely accurate. Next trip, we'll look for a Fodor book first!

This small book is a handy reference to carry as you visit the sites in Edinburgh. It covers local business hours, banking info, hotel information, etc. Most importantly, it identifies all the most interesting sites you would want to visit while in Edinburgh. I have used 5 or 6 Fodor's books for other cities in Europe and have always found them very useful, full of information and convenient to carry as I went about the town.

A bit disappointed. Yes, it only lists 25 thing but I had expected more depth on the items listed. Not much info.
