Yes, my daughter used this backpack while in Pre-K and it was actually the perfect size. Not too overwhelmingly large, but enough for a flexible binder, 8.5x11 papers and her sweater. The two side drink holders are a nice plus too! Definitely smaller than the kids' backpacks normally at the big box stores - those are huge.

Q: Will this fit a regular sized notebook?
