SYB Laptop Pad, EMF Radiation Protection Shield & Heat Blocker (for Laptops up to 17", Black)

surprisingly it works. of course it won't be perfect because E & H fields can go around but here's a test with my wifi router.

Any laptop I've owned has created an uncomfortable 'slow burn' sensation on my legs. Even though I purchased a nice and sturdy lap pad for my laptop, I could literally begin feeling the electric radiation coming from underneath the laptop, through the pad, and into my legs. The feeling would intensify the longer I had the laptop on my lap. Keep in mind this was not simply a hot sensation I was feeling, it was something that I could literally feel driving deeper into my legs and knees, like a slow radiation burn.I finally decided to do something about it and was dismayed at all the wildy swinging reviews of people saying these EMF protecting pads either worked great or were a pile of junk. Even this SYB EMF pad had such differing opinions! After some exhausting research, I decided to go with the SYB pad and I am SO glad I did! It totally took away that slow radiation burn sensation that I have experienced for too long. I merely placed this on top of my old laptop pad so that I would have the best of both worlds and it's awesome! I can still feel warmth after a little while from the natural heat transfer, but it is nothing at all uncomfortable, and the radiating burn sensation is completely gone!I hope anyone else here who has been searching for something to help with the kind of issues I have had is able to find the same relief that I did! It cost me more than I wanted to pay, but it solved the serious problem I was experiencing and I feel like the potential EMF dangers have been greatly reduced by this pad.I went with the black color because others were saying that the pattern wigged their eyes out. While I can see that the pattern does create a slightly holographic effect, it was nothing distracting or bothersome to me. I don't know if the blue color would have been more pronounced and something I would have noticed more, but if you're worried about that, I'd go with the black color. I hope this review helps someone else experience the same relief both physically and mentally that I have received!

Bought for my 6 & 7 year olds, who oftentimes have their laptops - on their laps - & I am concerned about the possible effects of EMI. The size & weight of the item are fine, but they started complaining about the edges being too sharp when holding it against their stomach. Yes, I realize that a solution would be to keep the edges away from their belly; but an even better solution would be to provide padding around the edges.Hope you guys are listening & make this good product even better.

Ho fatto delle misurazioni con un rilevatore onde elettromagnetiche assolutamente non professionale ma che mi permette di valutare la differenza di onde senza e con schermature. Il mio laptop senza schermature ha valori molto alti, anche schermando con fogli di alluminio ed altri strati (fino a 20) di fogli fi tessuto per schermature EMF/RF, i valori rimangono comunque alti. Con il SYB Laptop Pad il rilevatore di onde elettromagnetiche non rileva nulla e solo occasionalmente valori bassissimi. Dopo tutte le prove fatte con altre schermature ero scettico di trovare qualcosa che funzionasse ma, almeno in base alle mie rilevazioni casalinghe non professionali, devo dire che questa tavola funziona davvero.

The off gassing is atrocious and odor doesn't go away.
