The blade, while sharp, is very flimsy. Not only does it bend but it comes out of the handle in two places. I had to epoxy the whole thing back together. If I hadn't needed this tool urgently, I would have returned it. It's good for softer woods only. On harder woods like rosewood or maple it bends off true as you are using it, even with minimal force (let the tool do the work).

I purchased this primarily for cutting bone nuts for my guitar projects. When it arrived it was pretty bent, as shown in the photo but I was able to bend it back with my hand (which is good, but also maybe a little sketchy that's it's flimsy enough to bend it by hand). So after that I used it on a piece of bone and it cut surprisingly quick, clean. Time will tell how long it stays sharp for but I'm happy with it for now.

I bought this an extra to go with mitre box and saw set and it is just wonderful....cuts fine and sharp edge on my mini wood projects for dollhouse building....and plastic stuff too. Great, comfortable grip as well. Would highly recommend.
