Hockey has always been that Christmas game, especially with the snow, which gives theamazing white background and sliding fascinating many children out there. The Avalanche isone team that is determined to see them win a league, even though they have not in a while. Thatkind of determination is what we all strive to achieve. Understanding the team will help youknow where they are coming from and where they are heading to. Did you know that the club isowned by Ann Walton Kroenke, am sure not many people know that because they are onlyfocused on the winnings and the league table. Did you also know that Avalanche was the firstteam to win the Stanley Cup immediately after relocating, am sure you also did not know that?As I read through the book, I could feel as if Walker was talking directly to me urging me to readmore of the book and get to know more about the team. Great book, I would definitely re-read itagain.

This is a great mix of things you know and don't know about the Colorado Avalanche. I got this for my brother for Christmas and I could hardly keep it wrapped I wanted to look through it myself! As I flipped through a few pages, there were some questions I knew and some that I was able to deduce with some reasoning and some that were very difficult! I like the mix of questions! Great coffee table book or bathroom book.

My hubby knows a ton about our hockey team so thought trivia time would be fun, BUT, we are finding that much of the questioning is much too detailed to even care or find it even interesting, just why would anyone even ask that or even know it? We have gone through entire sections not knowing one of the answers which is usually 20 questions. We just flip through & pick out one or two questions here & there. One use of this book & in the donate pile it went. Just not a fun one for us so gave it 4 stars

This is an interesting book about the Colorado Avalanche ice hockey team. I liked this book because I learned some new facts that I did not know before. I read this book for my personal knowledge and personal pleasure. Some of the interesting facts that this book mentions in it are as follows: The roots of the Colorado Avalanche can be traced to Quebec City in 1972. The team started out as the Quebec Nordiques. The Nordiques were in dire financial straits in 1995. Instead of folding, the team moved to Denver, CO with a new business owner. The team was re-named the Colorado Avalanche. The Colorado Avalanche won their first Stanley Cup in their inaugural season.

This would make a great gift for any Avalanche fan. It's not only a trivia book but a history book as well. It's filled with great nuggets of information and fun questions. The book is filled with so much information, from rookie draft info to tid bits about things you will never read about anywhere else. I love how detailed this book is, had me hooked for a few hours as it is a fun and challenging trivia book.

I never really thought much about hockey having much of a history. I've learned much from these books but I think the Avs have been the most interesting by far. There seemed to be more in the "Did You Know" section and the "characters" are interesting.There are the obvious facts and figures, but there are so many cool things I don't know you'd think to ask. I liked it.

The trivia book had really interesting chapters. I loved Chapter 3 in particular. Nicknames aren’t so much as an important fact but the backstories were intriguing. It was well-researched and curated. Can’t wait to read more from this series. It’s also a good gift for my nieces and nephews on the holidays.
