One Morning in Maine (Picture Puffins)

Well firstly I was very tickled to see they had these books by McClinsky. These stories never get old I bought this one and blueberries for Sal... Both of which I used to read to my daughter from the library then I bought the hard copies, then we had a flood and a tsunami, then I got softbacks Pulitzer prize. Then, I purchased these two books from Amazon. I have no idea why the pages start on page 7 and both books if that's something that the author just naturally did. Although the illustration is amazing and everything is exact in and out of the books the paper that they use for the pages is ridiculous ridiculous ridiculously so paper thin it's absurd. They did credit me back five bucks for both books due to the fact that they were made so poorly. Would I buy them again Yes. For my grandchildren that are six and nine that I read them to when they come to visit.

Great gift for my first Granddaughter!

Classic children's book every child should have. I have fond memories of this book as a child, & also reading this book to my daughter.

Anyone who spent time in a beach community as a child will want to read this to your child or grandchild.

Reading it to my 5 year old granddaughter was beyond her. But I told her mom that I would have been better armed to deal with her if I had read it before she went ballistic.

I am happy with my purchase.

I have loved this picture book for years, and I bought it for my granddaughters, ages 5 and 7. It's a charming story about two young sisters. The text is enhanced by detailed black and white illustrations. Children's author Robert McCloskey knew how to tell a story and accompany it with vivid illustrations! Great for an adult to read aloud to children!

This was a present for a friend moving to Maine with his young kids. I bought these two American classics and he was delighted. They are very special books and the service from the seller was prompt and efficient. I used the pick up point system adn collected from my local garage. Very convenient!
