The Best T.I.M.E Stories scenario yet
TIME Stories is a fun game. It has many flaws, however. I highlighted these issues with Marcy Case. However, most of my dissatisfaction with those problems in Asylum and The Marcy Case were resolved with A Prophecy of Dragons. I need to preface this as APoD is our third TS scenario. Asylum and MC took us three attempts each, the first run being super fun, the second being fun, and the third being really frustrating and full of that sense of "alright, let's just get this over with." They really felt like it was impossible to win in less than two runs, where one false move sent you down a long path where the end was ultimate and unavoidable failure due to time. And the worse part is, most of the time there is no way to tell that a path is false and dooms you to this fate. This seemed to be fixed in APoD. We beat it our first run. Now, that run took 4 hours, with all the extensive note taking and deliberating, but it did happen. And it was amazing. We made some wrong calls, wasted some time, but we were able to pull it off with some time to spare. And it was really a very epic experience. This was the best job that the game has done at managing time allotment. I don't want to spoil things, but it was definitely an improvement over the first two scenarios. Also, this is the first time that I felt the characters were appropriately powerful. They had noticeably more health and functionally appropriate skills. We felt like heroes. And we were heroes in the end. We think. There is a loose story line between these three scenarios, so I would recommend playing them in order if you are dedicated to completing the series. But, if you have the base and just want to do fun scenarios, I would recommend this one over MC. Also, I would say this is the most replayable of the scenarios. There are mechanics in the game that really change the enemies you fight and the path to victory. Even just playing as different characters would alter your goals. It would be the equivalent of playing Sonic as Sonic and Tails and beating it, and then replaying it as just Sonic, or as Tails, or as Knuckles. You know the thing to do in each level, but each character offers a slightly different route and play style. The variety that they put into this scenario is really impressive, especially the random factors. This is what I felt that TS could be. And should be. And it really justified all of the money I have poured into this franchise. I hope for more of this. I picked it up for $20.75 on Amazon. And it was worth every penny. This is by far the best. I am giving this a 9/10. To calibrate, Asylum is a 7/10 and MC was a 6/10.

Our favorite story yet!
Time Stories Prophecy of Dragons is great, its a longer story line, more story branches, and the art work is absolutely amazing. I won't say anything about the story specifically, but its captivating, and it sucks you into the game. The base story, The Asylum was very fun, The Marcy case was just so so, but this one was.our favorite so far, but that might be because we are all fantasy setting gamers, so this might not be the case for everybody. Each character felt very unique, and choosing a character to play as was pretty difficult because they each had there pros and cons, and each one looked fun to play as. So for us as a group we gave this a 9.5-10, our only gripe was there were a few cards that could have explained what things meant better, and thats all I will say without saying to much.

Time Stories has yet to fail my expectations
First off, I love that each expansion is just a new deck of cards that can be used with all of the stuff from the base game so all you get each time is a tiny box. Second, the stories are challenging and so satisfying that it doesn't make you feel like you've wasted your time or money. It's not too hard you can't figure it out but it's not so easy you don't have to work for the answers and search for the things you need. It even has things to tempt you into wasting time, something this game is based on. I also love that when you're done you can pass it on to someone else playing the game.

Ok follow up to the base game
Overall a good game... It follows the same format as the T.I.M.E. Stories base game (Asylum). The only reason I gave it a 4 star over a 5 is because I didn't feel the puzzles in this game were as difficult as Asylum. The characters/magic components and some of the additional battle mechanics are cool, however, my favorite part of Asylum was the cooperative puzzle component. That seemed to be lacking in this game. Still worth the purchase, though.

but it felt like playing any other board game from our collection
This is the second expansion for Time Stories. The first expansion was okay, but it felt like playing any other board game from our collection. This wouldn't be a problem except Time Stories is BY FAR the best board game experience I have ever had. So with that being said, This expansion goes back to its roots of mystery and expansive ramifications to the decisions you make. Find a good group of people and play this game & expansion. It's still worth doing the expansions in order, just remember it builds upon itself. I recommend having one member taking notes on index cards

This expansion showcases the versatility of the TIME Stories system
I'm a big fan of TIME Stories and this expansion was VERY fun! I can't go into too much detail without spoiling the end, but I will say this scenario played a LOT different than the last two. It kind of caught us off guard, but in a very good way. This is the only scenario that I could see myself playing through again and still get something new out of. I thought the developers found a very unique and new way of using the existing system to create the experience of a dungeon diving campaign. I highly recommend this expansion to anyone who owns TIME Stories and would also recommend it as a great way to introduce new players into the game.

oh we just loved this chapter of the time stories game
oh we just loved this chapter of the time stories game! It is chapter number three in the series (the original board game being the first, and "the Marcy case" being the second chapter). we have also played the fourth chapter: the Egyptian setting (Forgive me that I don't remember the name). THIS one was by far our favorite! we loved the artwork and the variety of choices for our characters (very medieval/dwarf/elvin style). there was more thought involved than the previous chapter, and a few puzzles; different characters may or may not help you with these. Being able to choose a different character for yourself after an unsuccessful time jump was a fun feature. We totally recommend this game, as long as you already have the base set and board to play on!

All downhill from here
The base pack and Marcy’s case were great games with different flavors. Unfortunately, this game fails to capitalize on the fantasy setting. A weak plot to boot. And it doesn’t get better after this one...
