A very useful chair if you're as short as I am
I bought this to use at a local market where I was a seller, and it was amazingly useful; it's well made and sturdy, and though I had to haul myself onto the step and then into the seat every single time , the chair remained solid and I used it at every market I attended for four months. I especially needed something where I could see over my table of items to potential customers, and this was just the ticket. It was recommended by a friend, and I'm glad I took the advice; it's been a real blessing, it's lasted and still looks great, and I expect I'll use it in other places where I need to be taller!

Handsome Chair
First let me say that I like this chair a lot, I've always been a fan of director's chairs and this one's pretty nice. It's not as nice as one I used to have where the back rest was larger and actually swiveled, but oh well, that was a long time ago. I plan on using this chair as an occasional chair only in my studio apartment, and for that purpose it will be ideal. It's substantial and heavier than I thought it would be. The color of the wood seems true to the product photo, but the red canvas seating and back are pretty bright! I still like it though... What I'd like to tell you though is my experience with it straight out of the box. It was easy to set up the seat and back pieces, but I couldn't get the braces to lock in flat. Not possessing great upper body strength, I tried different approaches without success. I ended up using my rubber coated hammer handle, standing and pushing down with my whole weight on the braces. I knicked my pinky the first time, and now I have a bruise, so be careful if you have to use this method. The frame had several little knicks and mysterious tiny holes here and there, so I used a furniture scratch repair marker to disguise those. The sliders on the feet weren't to my liking as well, so I unscrewed them and replaced them with cup sliders for carpet use. All in all this is a great chair, it just needed a tweaking...

Logo Great Poor Quality
Tried to buy a pair of chairs. 1 was able to be put together. The other chair had a broken arm and the box that got delivered was also ripped. Returned that one and ordered another and this one also came broken. Hinges won’t lock and one of the poles to the seat canvas was broken as well. Chairs look great but quality seems to be lacking

Nice chair - initial setup: thank goodness for WD40!
Nice study chair. Good seat height for tall people. Comfortable wide seat. Nice black finish - hope it holds up outside and without chipping. Initial setup: could not get the hinges to fold down since the new seat canvas was too tight. Sprayed hinge with WD40 and finally able to straighten the hinge. Note - protect hand with scrap fabric since hinges will [painfully] pinch. Will not attempt to fold up for storage until the seat canvas has stretched a bit... Nit - may need to find cushion for the arm rests; zero contour...

Step/footrest is not so stable, but the rest of the chair is wonderful!
For years now, my dad has talked wistfully about the director's chairs we used to have at my childhood home, but because he's gotten older and is much more frail, I wanted to be sure to get something sturdy, and easy for him to get in and out of. This chair fits the bill, and he loves it! I put it together in less than 15 minutes, and the most time consuming part was attaching the footrest, which, incidentally, seems to be the least stable and most wobbly part of the whole chair. The seat and backrest are wider than director's chairs traditionally are, but it's that much more comfortable for the generous seat. The canvas that comes with it, in this case, is a beautiful, deep blue, and is made of a thick and sturdy cotton duck-like weight. The wood frame is beautiful, and well crafted. I've been looking for a deal on one for myself since putting together dad's! ;-)

I have been looking for a chair for my work bench that was not too heavy to move around - this fit the bill. When not needed it also with little effort can be made to take less space

I waited two year after purchasing to write a review because I was unsure how this would last over time. I am very impressed! I use this most weekends on set for weddings or photo shoots for hair and makeup and have never had an issue with it. I put my logo on the back rest fabric and it has held up very well. Lots of clients comment on how comfortable it is and sturdy compared to others on set as well.

I was very disappointed with the chair. Firstly, we found a large crack in the wood (see photos). Putting down the secure brackets was extremely hard to do. Took two weeks to get my item. No more available at this time. Waiting for my refund to be processed.
