Comfortable and effective.
Fiskars makes great tools, and this is no exception. ALthough expensive, once you use them and experience the strong cutting power with their confort, they are worth the extra.

Great for trimming shrubs and small tree branches
I had a trimmer but it took all my strength to get it to 'sometimes work' and even then it wasn't a clean cut. This trimmer is awesome. It is easy to use and I will admit I don't have the strongest of hands. So if I can get it to cut, you should be able to. It cuts clean and fast. It makes trimming up those rouge branches quick and easy. The grip is comfortable and the size is just right. It seems durable and well made so I expect it will last. So now my yard looks much better as I have no excuse putting off the task.

The brand says it all
After losing my pruners last fall, I finally gave up the search and ordered new ones. I love all Fiskars products. From sewing scissors, which my mom had when I was a kid to rotary cutters I now use so I knew the quality I was purchasing for yard work. These are comfortable for my arthritic hands, which sometimes have a difficult time gripping. The hand grips are cushioned in all the right places. Sharp blades are a must when trimming /pruning bushes like hydrangea and flowering Hostas, these are nice and sharp and will stay that way for a long time if they follow the history of the brand. I will purchase more of this brand in the future as needed.

Cuts well and great customer service
The envelope mine was delivered in arrived empty the amazon pickup location. But, they'd scanned it in already and said I had to put in for a return. I did so and the replacement arrived via USPS mail very promptly. They took care of the problem the same day. I'm very happy with the service and will do business with them again.And, I love the product. My hands are on the small size and I'm able to use them easily. They should be good for all size hands.

NOT what it used to be
So what's new you ask? Are we going to continue to accept lower quality goods at higher prices? Sometimes the price remains reasonable but the quality drops so much, there's little value left. I have a power pruner that I got in a 3 pack of small, medium and large pruners about 20 years ago, and it was fantastic. The largest pruners were the power pruner type and they were smooth, comfortable, effective and lasted all those years, as have the smaller pruners. The power roll handle finally gave out and I can't see a fix, so I tried the new ones in spite of the poor reviews which clarify why this isn't the best selling pair of Fiskars. To give the company credit, the blades are still good but if they aren't pleasant to use - who cares? The lock is really hard to use as many other reviewers mentioned, so the pruners stay open which isn't the end of the world but I don't want them in my pocket without being locked, so there's another function that's inferior. I'm going to try different brands until I find one that makes me happy. I'd go for a pair of Felco pruners, but I've tried their smallest pruner at a friend's house and they're too heavy for me. I'm not as good as I used to be either but it's not a manufacturing/design problem. ;>}

Recomendo a Fiskars P552!
