Replaced my jensen speaker with this one in my tweed fender blues Jr. It's a cleaner sounding speaker and less flubby sounding in the low end when pushed. I am very happy with it.

I bought this to replace the factory Jensen speaker in my Laney VC-15 amp. The greenback speaker sounds amazing. Installation was not too difficult. Just in case it is useful to those with a Laney VC-15, the process was as follows: Note: please be careful not to touch the electronics on the main circuit board on the inner part of the control section (see part 3 below. Even unplugged, the capacitors can give you a serious shock. 1) remove the metal grate covering the valves and the wooden boards across the bottom and top at the back of amp. 2) Remove the valves (just pull) and take care the remember which preamp valves go where. They are covered by a metal shroud which you just push in and rotate to expose the valves. 3) remove screws holding the control board I.e. the bit where the guitar cable plugs in with the dials. The screws are on the back, sides and top of the amp. 4) disconnect the speaker cables (slide the connectors off) before you lift control board out. Remember which cable is positive... the red one. The greenback speaker has the positive marked on it. 5) unscrew the 4 bolts holding the speaker in and replace with the new greenback speaker. Replace the control board and connect the cables. 6) replace everything else and jam! Hope that helps. All the best
