Can this help in removing trojan?

This firewall works at the edge of the network to block viruses, spam, port scans, and IPs located in other countries only if you purchase the basic or advanced security suite. No, it will not remove a trojan from a computer if that is what you are asking.  The T20 is replacing the T15. The T16 will soon be EOL.

Where is the User's Guide?

Only the Quick Start Guide is included in the box.  You have to go the website to get more information or use Help once you log into the Watchguard.

Question 3

Is the wan connection is gigabit?  i have fios gigabit network and want to confirm i get gig speed.

You will not get gig speed if  using the UTM portion of the firewall can only pass about 150 meg in full UTM mode. You will need a much more expensive firewall for the 1 Gig internet and want 1 Gig on the other side of the firewall.

Can we buy an additional unit to expand the port capacity?

Hello, 
That's a good question. The firewall can be used as a basic router but it's primary function is security the gateway of the network. The more you ask it to do (i.e. routing functions) the more you slow down the processing of it's primary function.

Therefore, we highly suggest going the more traditional route of expanding port capacity for a network by purchasing a switch (Smart, managed, or unmanaged) with the number of ports you need or one with a few more ports than needing now, then connect that to the firewall, and then connect all the other connections to the switch. This also is the better approach because it allows room for growth.

But if you want to use the firewall as your router/switch then you depending on how many more ports you need, you will need to move to one of the following, which are also faster and allows for upgrading your ISP connection also at some point...

> Firewalls with 5 x 1Gb ports: T20/T20-W; T35/T35-W; T40/T40-W
> Firewalls with 8 x 1Gb ports: T80/M270/M370

NOTE: Currently there is not an upgrade path to the above models from a T15 since it is considered a current model. Unless we are able to obtain an exception approval from WatchGuard, you would have to purchase the new install models. OR go with the Competitive Brand Upgrade SKUs and we can assist you with the information you would need to register the unit when ready to register it.

Again, the best route to go is with a switch that provides the total number of ports needed. If you obtain a stackable switch model, then you can always add to it as needed.
