Very nice
If you want a sturdy place mat that is very easy to clean, you found it. Just wipe them off like a counter top and good to go. They do not bend at all and lay flat. Enjoying them, good purchase.

They look great and are holding up well
I was surprised at the texture/surface of these placemats. I was expecting something completely smooth, like a veneer. The “cracks” and lines in the marble pattern actually have a texture, and the white parts are matte not shiny. I was immediately worried that my kids would ruin them, but they are holding up great! We were able to wipe off pasta sauce and tikka masala with no staining :)

Not worth half the price
These are very thin corkboard (3mm). They came warped. It's just wipeable paper stuck on top. I haven't spilt anything yet but I think anything red, like tomato or beetroot would stain them. They came heat/shrink wrapped so tight it was very difficult to open them without scarring with a scissors. The corners are bent as they came just in a plastic envelope. Certainly not worth £18.11 - more like £8 at the most.Later: these did flatten out when I put heavy casseroles on them but still not worth the exorbitant price , and I made sure I had three extra layers of protection between them and the table.
