GIGI Hard Wax Beads, Golden Honee All Purpose Hair Removal Wax, no strip needed, 14 oz, 14 Ounce (Pack of 1)

This wax sucks! It had been recommended by my friends so I wanted to give it a try, the product shown in pictures is not what you get. You get a tin of already melted wax, it’s not the wax beads. I decided to give it a try any as it stated it was hard wax and was the same brand. Heating it up was fine and it wasn’t too hot on my skin, I decided to try it on my arm as I haven’t done this is a while and did want to start with my bikini line. The was never hardened and stayed a gooey mess on my arm, I used the was sticks to rip it off because I didn’t have any of the wax strips, after two attempts of that I decided to stop. I tried to cool the rest of the was off but it just wouldn’t harden. I had to scrub my arm with a rag and vegetable oil to get this off.

It seemed like an easy wax and I liked that at first. However, time will tell the truth that this product doesn't grab your hairs properly so be prepared to have massive painful ingrown hairs for weeks when your hair comes back. I have used many waxing products over the years, and I am not prone to ingrown hairs so I can safely pin it to this product.

i've used hard wax before but my favorite type wasn't available when i decided to try this.First the pros. It's pretty. Visually, it looks like gold in the melt pot. And that's about where that ends.The cons.1. It stinks. whatever essential oil they put in there smells horrible.2.it doesn't work. I regularly wax the same spot on my chin like clockwork, and this only pulled out the most coarse, thick hairs, leaving behind the long, thin ones.3. it's somehow the most painful as far as initial pull and after effect pain. i usually use witch hazel afterwards and it's not even touching the stinging feeling. I thought maybe i did it wrong, so i turned the temperature down as much as i could, and it was the same thing. i'm guessing again, it has something to do with the essential oils. i know it's a sensitive area but i don't have sensitive skin normally and use products with EOs in them and have never had a problem before.

I’ve been waxing myself for over 11 years this product is horrible!. I can only give it two starts because I was under the impression you can use this with waxing strips and you can so that’s cool. However be prepared for multiple passes if you’re attempting a bikini wax. It’s a hard wax with some of the benefits of soft waxes like less pain and no strips needed if you like that. Me personally, I prefer strips and it was more difficult to use them with this product. It’s messy too compared to traditional hard wax. If you dislike soft wax and you’re looking for a good hard wax, this is NOT for you.

As someone who is a frequent face waxer due to PCOS, I was looking for something that was sensitive on the face. This wax was complete garbage. Went it cooled, it cooled quickly and got hard really fast, when it was too warm it was watery consistency there was no in between. As for the removal of the wax, it often got stuck to my face to where I had to apply more, but it often missed a lot of hair. I had to go through multiple times on the same patch of skin where I have used other waxes and only had to go through once or twice. Will not buy again!
