NOT buckram, not a suitable replacement for buckram, don't buy if you're looking for buckram - description is very inaccurate
The product description correctly notes that buckram is "a stiff-finished heavily sized fabric of cotton or linen" -- this is none of those things. It is not cotton, or woven, or even fabric. It appears to be essentially just paper with a random matt of clear synthetic fibers, not any sort of actual buckram. It burns like paper, gets wet and limp like paper.I suppose it could work for stiffening curtains that never get wet or get washed, but don't order it thinking that it's buckram suitable for a hat or skirt.

Perfect for grommet drapes which really need the body and flexibility of this buckram in addition to the extra support around the grommet holes.
