I cannot give this enough stars! This is the second book in the brilliant reboot of the Piggle-Wiggle world. The books make just enough references to the modern world (someone has an iPad, and someone else has SpongeBob swim trunks) to anchor it in time, but retain the magical, older, small-town feel of the original series. The writing is complex and rich, making for enjoyable reading for this mama and editor (who is WAY OVER the simplistic language in a lot of the chapter books we've been reading). Missy's cures are every bit as creative as her great-aunt's and her character is complex. My seven-year-old son looks forward to hearing more of Missy's story every night before bed. The only downside? This reboot is so new, there are only two books!

3rd generation of “Mrs Piggle Wiggle” found and introduced me to these because she loved the original series soo much!! I read them before I gave them to her - her Mom read them before she passed them to her - and now we spend time each week reading one of the stories … the books are classic and I LOVE that the idea continued!!

My daughter loves these books. It’s hard to find content that’s appropriate And challenge her reading. These check both boxes. She loves the stories! She’s 9 (4th grade)

I read the first one when I was like 10 and reread it so many time I decided to get the second now, at 16. I enjoyed this book but it's more unlike the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books than the first Missy Piggle Wiggle and not as good. I still liked it, though, and am curious what happens in the third.
