BOSS Audio Systems AVA6200 3 Inch Enclosed Box Stereo Speakers - 200 Watts (per pair), 3 Way, Full Range, Indoor, Outdoor, Marine, Sold in Pairs

I'm restoring a 1972 El Camino and the prior owner had 6x9 speakers mounted in a large fiberboard box that was too big for the space behind the seat. The speakers had poor mid-range and the overall sound was poor (there are also 2 front dashboard speakers in the truck). These Boss speakers have excellent high and mid-range and even a good base sound. The space in the cab of the El Camino is small, so huge speakers are not needed. They fit nicely behind the bench seats, with room enough for the spare tire and some other gear. With the dashboard speakers and a cassette tape player with 4-track 2 channel stereo and power output of 25W+25W (at 4 ohms), I am getting outstanding sound. From my Frank Sinatra to my Guns N Roses cassette tapes, and everything in between, it's all good. Easy installation. The wire connections are simple and work great. Other reviews make reference to problems with the wire connections on the back of the self-contained speaker boxes. If you know how to properly strip and twist the end of a speaker wire, you won't have a problem. In summary, these are super speakers for a truck cab or other small space and a great bang for the buck!!

These speakers sound great and were so easy to install. I haven't seen surface mount speakers like these since the 70s.

Bought these for my Jeep TJ. I run a Safari top all summer so I didn't want a sound bar or the speaker bar that spans the roll cage. Mounted them on the horizontal portion of the down bar. Used hose clamps to mount the bracket that comes with the speakers. They look and sound great! Being able to adjust them forward or back along the tube gave me the ability to adjust where zi wanted the sound. They tuck up nicely under the top so they stay out of the rain. At the price point if some unsavory person decides to cut the wires and take the speakers I won't be out the cost of speaker bar.

This review includes the BOSS Audio - BRS 6x9 speakers, BOSS AVA6200 speakers, and the BOSS Audio 616UAB multimedia player. I have purchased other very elaborate, and expensive car audio systems, and either they did not last long, or I was disappointed in some other way. But the multimedia player I mentioned made me BOSS Audio fan. It is very reliable, tough, long lasting, and has excellent sound quality. I built, and completely modified a 2015 Toyota Tacoma inside out, and from the ground up. The same above mentioned BOSS Audio speakers, and media player is what is in my build. The sound is very strong, clear, and excellent. I do not play my music to deafening level, but at a moderate volume. I am very picky to sound, and simplicity. I do not get involved with subwoofer competitions, while sagging my pants, and picking my nose. I just wanted excellent sound.

When I went to plug one of the negative terminals in a spring shot out at me and would no longer hold the wire. The other speaker sounds great.
