Helipad 4 Pilot Kneeboard - Right Leg/Hand - iPad Kneeboard for Helicopters

The item description can be very confusing. But basically everything works on velcro. In order to get to the iPad you must pull a tab to lift the clipboard towards you. Pulling the tab is no problem but putting it back is an issue because it is under the kneeboard between the bottom and you knee and is very difficult. ( and if you fly fixed wing with a yoke forget it this will never work) So once you lift the clipboard you must pull another tab to lift iPad then place clipboard down reattach it and place iPad over clipboard and secure iPad. There is a lot of effort to do this. the clipboard strap is a pain and constantly having to be moved and just hangs there most the time (but you can remove it) Side pockets i thought i could fit my phone but it won't even fit an old iPhone so if you have a 5/5s, 6 or 6plus theres for sure no way. I spoke with the man who makes these. It is a small business and these are hand made. It seems like they put a lot of effort in there product. I think he is on to something here but at this point its just to much work. My biggest problem is that the description says this will fit any iPad any case. I have an iPad air. It will absolutely not fit!!!! I can not emphasize this point enough. If you have anything other than a mini this will not work for you. the clipboard will not secure and it will be worthless. If you do have a mini than yes i can see it would work seamlessly with any case. and if you are okay with the effort involved to change between the clipboard and iPad than this will work for you. iPad and clipboard are always very secure.
