I have been sleeping better, feeling more calm and relaxed using this book! I LOVE Tiffany's message and the day by day advice to change my thoughts. I would recommend this book if you want total health, not just losing weight.

A Fresh Approach to Weight Management Using Meditation
As a midwife, I encounter many women who struggle with their weight, and an even greater number, who lack a positive relationship to their bodies. As a yoga therapist, Tiffany Cruickshank understands many of the emotional obstacles to maintaining a healthy weight for women, and she invites her readers to join her in learning how to cultivate a more satisfying relationship to the body, nourishment and movement. She encourages the development of self awareness and mindfulness as a way to support and sustain positive changes in ourselves. She introduces her tools and the exercises in small incremental steps, setting the tone by calling her program a 21 day retreat. Included at the end is a section detailing several different strategies to continue with the program at the end of 21 days, including a 20 minute yoga sequence. I almost wish weight wasn't in the title, as I think this book has a wider audience. I will be revommenfing this book to my friends and clients.

Life changing!
I highly recommend this book to anyone! It has helped me tremendously in dealing with my food habits, self love, mediating, body image issues...the list goes on. Tiffany does a great job of breaking it down so you can really start to work towards the underlying issues that cause many of these habits. I struggled with an eating disorder for years and this is the first book that really has helped me make sense of those deep rooted issues. I thank you Tiffany for an inspiring and unbelievably transformative book that truly has changed me!

Skip the crazy diets and supplements and read this book! It is life changing.
This book has changed my life! I have been struggling with the weight gain due to menopause. I have tried everything from supplements to crazy diets, you name it. This book is thoughtful and well written. It steps you through a meditation practice. I've also tried many 21 day meditation practices and none of them worked. This is the first one that has allowed me to be able to meditate regularly and I actually look forward to it. The combination of journaling and working through the 21 days of meditation has really help me. I am going to reread the book and do it again but do the entire book using the 12 minute meditation time that I am now up to. Thank you Tiffany. Xo

Excellent.
I am really loving it. I'm in the middle of the book right now, half way through the meditation program. I've been teaching yoga for 7 years now, and the way Tiffany has explained, set up, and described what to do in this program....REALLY resonates with me and clicks for me. I feel like I'm actually meditating for the first time with much more confidence, and like it is impacting my life and shifting my thinking. Feeling really grateful and excited about it, and want to buy it for a couple of friends.

Curing Weight Gain from the inside
This book worked perfectly for what I needed at this point in my life. I've always believed we must get to the core of weight gain problems otherwise we are just putting superficial bandaid over a deep wound. I completed the 21 days and now am redoing the book to keep my meditation going.Teaching us to eat mindfully has been the biggest help.

Happy about my purchase!
I was always interested in meditation but the time factor was always an issue . What got me interested in her book was the 3 minute approach. I am at day 6 now and I set the timer already on day 3 to ten minutes.The loosing weight part is not an issue as I am extremely athletic and I already eat clean but I do already see the affect it has on the mindfulness what you nourish your body with when it needs it. Example last night I just wanted to settle for the usual quick popcorn snack but I was almost painfully aware that my body needed "more" and I decided to go with the veggie couscous instead. It was a good choice I had a great run today.It is a small book but it is full with useful stuff. The beginning is about the science behind meditation no hippie blabla there...I don't strictly go by the daily suggestions as I don't have to loose weight, but I can see how some one who needs to loose weight can greatly benefit from it.
