Amazing sprinkler controller! Easy to connect to Wi-Fi, easy to program, and the smart watering features were easy to understand and setup! I love having the screen on the device as well and love that I can program from the device, even though I only used the phone for programming. Manual watering to test my zones worked great and the response time was very fast. Note: there are two ways to manually water - from the home screen where it says "water manually," and from the zones screen where it says, "test." I used the test button once but preferred the water manually button so I could set up any combination of zones to run. I did note that as I walked around the yard my phone had a bad Wi-Fi signal (to my home Wi-Fi router). I turned off my phone's Wi-Fi so it was connected over cell and didn't have any issues. Overall, I'm very happy with the product. The install was fast and easy. If you are replacing an existing timer, I would suggest taking a photo of the wires before you remove the old timer. That made it fast and easy to get up and running. I think my total install time was about 10 minutes. Turning on the zones with my phone and walking my yard to inspect heads has been so much better than running back and forth to the timer. Love the product!

I got this because my water company provided a rebate for me to upgrade to a "smart" controller (automatically pauses when rain is forecast and/or has a rain meter attached), and my old controller had an electronic problem that was throttling one of my zones. I am very happy I upgraded, and I should have done so sooner! Installation was easy since I was swapping out an old controller. I turned off power, labeled all wires with the zone #s from my old controller, disconnected them, and removed the old system. I painted the wall, then installed the new box (different size, hence the need for painting), and then connected the wires to each zone. My installation is outside, and the box has proven to be sufficiently weather-resistant, and build-quality good enough to survive 4 seasons. I installed it early in the 2024 season and am writing this review about a year later. Programming the system via the Android app is really easy. You can add photos of each zone to remember which is which. I use the local weather forecast feature to auto-delay due to forecast rain. If it actually rains when not forecast (or a low % chance of rain below the delay threshold), or the rain is really heavy, it's super easy to open the app and click the "rain delay" button and choose the # of days, depending on how much rain you just received. I love being able to adjust via my phone (Android). In the spring when turning the system on for the first time, it's easy to cycle through each zone and inspect each emitter. If I'm adjusting and run out of time, it's easy to turn it back on without all the running back and forth to the controller. In the fall, the remote app makes it easier to blow my system out. I've rarely used the physical box. But more than that, I love being able to adjust my watering. For example, as the days get shorter and the landscape needs less water, I can easily dial back each zone to 90%, then 80%, then 70%, and so forth, without changing the programmed number of minutes for each zone. If it automatically delays because of a forecast 30% or higher chance of rain (you can set the threshold) and it doesn't actually rain, it's easy to cancel the weather delay or run each zone manually via the app. I love that there's no more running outside at night in the rain, in my pajamas, to manually turn off the sprinkler to save some water!

Got this to replace a regular controller because I wanted to be able to control my sprinklers remotely. This is a great product. Very easy to install and use. I have been enjoying the ease of use. It's water saving since I can not only control when I want my zones to run, which zones to run and when, but also because it automatically adjusts based on weather conditions. I like not having to overthink when my sprinklers should be on or off. Highly recommend!

I'm sure others are reading review for this Sprinkler controller, and I'm sure you were concerned as well as I before purchasing this product. The price is irresistible compared to many others. I don't know how the smart watering is going to work at this time I will update later. But here is my experience Setup was easy, transferring the wires from one controller to the other could've been simpler. Adding the rain sensor though from my old unit needed to look it up on the web as there was no instructions in the booklet without going online to confirm wiring though a simple. The basic functionality of the android app is good, I'm not gonna say it's great it did crash on me a couple of times in certain areas of the app itself. Like when you're setting up smart watering and you click other details or advanced it will crash the app every time. But once installed I did all my set up through the app itself. It's simple easy I love the fact that you can take pictures and assign them to the zones that you set up. Setting up the Wi-Fi it was typical start the app on your phone set the control unit to off to start pairing, do a search on your phone's Wi-Fi for the control unit itself connect. And once it's connected it will start the pairing process to your Wi-Fi network. My Wi-Fi network is very strong throughout the house maybe that's why I haven't had the issues others have. Setting up the program for me was relatively easy for watering, as a water on every other day so I set it for even days. Also makes it very nice when testing the sprinkler system to be able to turn it on from your phone while cleaning off sprinkler heads Definitely worth the money so far, I will update later to tell you how smart watering has worked July 1 2016 I will have to admit the app does have some bugs, if you test a Zone and turn off the app or the screen locks it will forget that zone is in testing easy enough to get around by simply turning off the zone and turning on another I do have a rain sensor hooked up, and we had some rain and I've looked up the local watering suggestions and smart watering seems to be right on the money. It's watering about every 3 days or so. As I've stated earlier the app is not the greatest it does have some bugs and something that can easily be fixed by orbit. I will update more later as time goes on. My hope is others refined the review helpful. I do have to say after the first couple of days I don't know who would be really looking at and playing with the app anymore that has already been done by me. Come on orbit work The Kinks out of your app and you have a great product 7-11-2016 update I have to say so far so good, I'm already seeing a water savings compared to my old manual system with rain sensor. No update on the software front though it's only been a couple of weeks. No issues other than the ones above with a little bit of a buggy software. But after that I'm only looking to see when it's going to water next. I think I mentioned it above when pairing the device to your Wi-Fi network make sure you get a good signal use something like your phone Wi-Fi to confirm you get a good signal then you should have no problems

Lo utilice para controlar el riego de un invernadero de jitomate, y me agrado mucho que puedo verificar el tiempo de riego via wifi, visualizar el tiempo de ejecucion y poder programar desde el movil o directamente en el controlador. En general puedo decir que de los equipos mas completos.

Supera las expectativas! No le pide nada, a la nueva versión de este sistema, y representa un ahorro considerable de hasta 25% valor total.
