Best wine opener I have ever used. Absolutely brilliant! Can't fault it.

Having read some of the 1 & 2 star reviews I am amazed - I think that some people are not in tune with the operation. I've had mine for over a year and opened many bottles! Just ordering another for a Christmas gift. Simply place the opener over the bottle while holding it, with the other hand, push lightly down and hold the 'down' button. The screw goes into the cork, and turns until it touches the top of the bottle and starts to extract the cork - at this point you have to keep holding the bottle as it tries to turn if the cork is tight. A few seconds and the cork is out and now press the top or 'up' button and the cork comes off the screw - simple! Its a lovely looking bit of kit which looks great and just works. It plugs into the mains for a quick re-charge which lasts a long time. There is also a foil cutter with a slot to hold it in the base station which is simple to use making a nice job of cutting the foil as well as making the bottle look good. I also use an aerator (separate purchase) which is a great addition to the 'wine event' - even the cheap ones. Not sure they do much to soften the wine but they do look good and prevent most drips.

I managed to grab this at a bargain price however this was priced at £80 at some point. As far as wine opening this is a product that should make the uncorking of wine easier - a 3rd world problem really. The issue I have is that’s it’s very hit and miss, sometimes it pulls the cork out perfectly, other times it’s hard to line the cork up dead centre or with older corks it just destroys and disintegrates the cork. The additional attachments help up the score, it has a pretty functional wine aerator, the foil cutter is again hit and miss, but the wine saver function is actually pretty good. Charge wise one charge will last a long time! And it’s pretty easy to charge. The product its self is well made and pretty robust.

I have had one of these for years, it finally wore out!!! I immediately ordered a replacement. It works every time for me making accessing the contents of the bottle almost too easy!!!

So far so good love the way it automatically pulls and elects the corkscrew. Seems pretty powerful too so hopefully many uses on one charge.

I purchased this wine bottle cork remover after reading the many good reviews there a few negative reviews also, the first bottle I tried it did not remove the cork I had to pull out like a normal hand pull cork screw. I thought that I should have just held the button longer and let the opener do its job and remove cork, the next bottle I attempted I placed the opener on the bottle pressed the button untill the motor started to go faster me thinking its showing cork was out, lifting the opener of the bottle the cork was still in the bottle the cork now with a large hole in it , I the noticed lots of disintigrated cork bits in the wine , so this wine had to be disgarded. So do not waste your money I did return to Amazon and I did receive a refund very quickly I did have to give one star as it would not let me submit my review with no stars..

My wife asked for this as a present and she burst out laughing when she saw it. She thought it was going to be quite small but it is almost as big as the bottle of wine she wanted to use it on! She likes it though!
