I have bad knees after many years of factory work and retail sales management. I've tried the OTC pain pills that really dont do much for my knee pain and can be harmful when taken over an extended period of time. My knee doctor and I had a long discussion about supplements during my last visit. He gave me shots in each knee that helped some but in reality there is not much to do until replacement in 10 years. We spoke of the Glucosamine types and Turmeric and he had a very favorable opinion of both. In fact he was taking both and said it was helping his mobility. Bioperine activates the essential parts of the turmeric to assist in joint health and anti inflammation properties. I've noticed a huge difference in the last few months after taking the products. I can bend down more easily and even get into the floor on occasion. I take 1 with lunch 1 with dinner and have had no aftertaste or other issues.100% organic and made in the USA. I do not buy supplement products for myself or my family or my pets that are made overseas. No fillers binders or artificial ingredients is also a big plus to me.I received the product at a discount for my honest and unbiased review.

Tumeric has been a staple in regions and countries such as India, Bangladesh and Pakistan for over a thousand years. That yellow color we see in curry is produced by Turmeric.This product has Tumeric with Bioperine and from what I have read, our bodies need the Bioperine (or we could also take black pepper) to help with the effective absorption of Tumeric. Tumeric is generally not absorbed as efficiently as we would want it to be so we would need to take larger quantities of it in order to ingest enough for its properties to help with the intended purpose. In fact, the Tumeric used in cooking is small in quantity compared to what we have in supplements like this product.There is a compound herein called curcumin which is said to help with inflammation issues. The problem is that there is very little curcumin and curcumin itself is challenging for our bodies to absorb. Black pepper can help with the absorption.I’m impressed with Tumeric for its intiinflamatory properties. As many of us have read, short term (also known as acute) inflammation is actually a good thing and is important in order to fight off bad bacteria. However, it’s long term (chronic) inflammation that can potentially be a major health issue. In fact, recent studies have given reasons for some health professionals to believe that chronic inflammation is really the case of some of the world’s major diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimers, cancer and other illnesses. Curcumin actually fights inflammation at the molecular level. Equally important is the fact that Curcumin blocks free radicals and also helps increase the antioxidants in our bodies.Tumeric can potentially help with many other health issues. I intend to research more studies in order to find out possible benefits and concerns with taking Tumeric in the long term. From what I have read, there are some great benefits but not everyone can take it so please check with your physician before taking Tumeric especially if you are a transplant recipient taking immunosuppression medications. I feel that a substance such as Tumeric is so potentially “helpful and effective in some ways" that a transplant recipient might be told not to take it because some of what is perceived as beneficial can actually affect one’s immunosuppressed body that has to be immunosuppressed in order to prevent the body from rejecting the transplanted organ.This item is Unicorn of Eden - Organic Turmeric (Curcumin) with Bioperine.
