Expensive, but worth it.
However the texture and taste are perfect. A lot of people complain that buckwheat honey is overpowering or has an offensive taste, not in the slightest. Super pleasant taste and superior to anything I have tried from Trader Joe's raw honey. Big plus is that it is American made, as with all raw honey the prevalent wisdom is that local is better.Purpose for me seeking out raw honey is that on my paleo lifestyle I steer clear of all sugar, yet raw honey routinely gets praised for keeping blood glucose levels low and the phenols in the raw honey mitigates fatty liver deposits. Mechanism for the process is poorly understood but the few limited studies suggest that raw honey (particularly the darker types) act as a complete food! So while this honey is so expensive, ultimately you have to ask how much value you place on your liver.

Great tasting honey....but...
Honey is amazing tasting....but missing the strong buckwheat taste....it tastes like a twist between buckwheat and wild flower honey. Color is a medium brown...not dark enough to pass my test. Local buckwheat around me in PA that's mostly amish....looks and taste nothing like this...and for the lb...this is too expensive....mind as well just get wild flower honey for lower price. I want 100 percent buckwheat honey...on front it says 100 percent honey....which ones I ask? Idk...but I don't believe it's 100 percent honey from just buckwheat plant. I could be wrong...but doesn't taste even close to pure buckwheat honey. Plus company sells more then buckwheat honey....so who's to say those bees are solely pollinating from just buckwheat plants?..do they have bees contained in locations separated by something so they don't cross pollinate? Again great tasting honey ....but if your looking for that "old pappy" buckwheat honey taste...you won't get any nostalgia from this brand.

Allergic to aLaMiel Raw Buckwheat Honey.
Allergic to aLaMiel Raw Buckwheat Honey. It’s difficult to find honey I’m not allergic to: I’ve been allergic to 3 brands out of 4 brands of honey I bought from Amazon. I enjoyed the first brand of honey I bought, but was afraid to re-buy it because reviewers said its quality has declined

Excellent quality honey with a great buckwheat taste
Excellent quality honey with a great buckwheat taste. I use it on toast or for baking. This specific type of honey is one of the best health wise. I'd say it is second to only the famous Manuka honey. The buckwheat taste is certainly unique and robust but you get used to it quickly. Great product 5 stars!

Tastes Fresh, Nice Flavor
Buckwheat honey tastes different than the standard "honey" you get in the supermarket. It has a very earthy almost molasses-like flavor to it. It makes it good for substituting for brown sugar or molasses in certain recipes. The quality of the honey was very good. Since it claimed to be raw I would say it tasted fresh.

'nother Amish banger!
Wow. New to buckwheat. Very robust flavor with almost cacao notes. I'm sure it goes great on top any number of things, teas etc.. but I'm excited to try baking and Mead making with. Hope the producers aren't offended..

Very poor packaging
This is such a great product. Works so well for cough and cold symptoms. Bought it again but the bottle came broken and honey was all over the package. Please improve packaging especially for such precious products so it doesn't get wasted.

Not strong
I don't understand why so many reviews said this had a strong flavor. I don't notice that at all and that's why I only gave it 4 stars. I wanted the strong flavor. Just tastes like regular honey to me.
