Starbucks Double Shot Espresso Coffee Beverage, 6.5 oz Cans (4 Pack)

I'm not a fan of Starbucks coffee just in general and would avoid it as long as there were any other coffee shops nearby. However, I found that I really enjoy their double shot cans. It has good flavor and actually gets me pretty wired when I need to be. I'm not sure if there is actually any espresso in there, but I do taste the slight bitterness to it, which I actually really enjoy. Of course, a real double shot would be a lot more bitter than this. This is actually a bit sweet. As I'm sitting here and wondering why I enjoy these, it's probably because in the summer time, you're tempted to order an iced coffee, but within a short period of time, the ice melts and it becomes a super watered down drink. I can put these in the fridge and when they're ready to drink, they are really refreshing!

I ordered these on a whim to fill up some extra space in my Pantry box actually. Turns out I really like them! They are sweet, but not as sweet as the bottled Frappacinos and these are definitely stronger than the bottled fraps. There is a distinct espresso coffee flavor - sightly bitter at first, but the cream & sugar is there as well and it just sort of works. Who knew coffee in a can could be a good thing?

Up until recently there was a period of time where I wouldn't have time to brew a pot of coffee in the morning. Even those pod coffee makers took a couple minutes to prepare. These however, I could throw in the fridge, and then grab a can before I ran out the door in the morning. It would be quick and easy way to keep my caffeine addiction at bay until I got to work and could get an actual cup of coffee. Even better, I wouldn't have to hunt down a thermos or even sweeten/add milk. Even better, the coffee is the same every time (My measuring ability is pretty terrible when I'm trying to get from bed to out the door in 5 minutes) It really was the ultimate enabler of quick, and delicious laziness. I'm finally starting to have a better morning routine, but even still I keep a pack in the fridge just in case I wake up late.

Love these things, super highly wonderfully addictive! I'm happy that Amazon has lowered their price to be equally competitive with Wal-mart. This review is for the 4 count, which is currently listed as a Prime Pantry item listed today at $4.99, but a pantry box does have a shipping cost. However, Prime Members can get the 12 pack (at the time of this review) for $15.84 and that's with free 2 day shipping and in most states, it's tax free. Gotta love that!!! I purchased these on a whim as I was just looking for more products to fill my Prime Pantry order. I don't usually like cold coffee but I do like Starbucks so I figured I'd give the Double Shot a try. I put them in the refrigerator and tried one on my way to work. It definitely comes off a bit strong at first but I quickly adjusted to the taste. A few gulps later and the can was empty. The drink had a great balance of coffee flavor and sugar. I don't know that I really felt a huge difference energy wise but I didn't drink any more coffee or a Red Bull on the days that I had one of these. (I drink coffee or Red Bull every day). If I could score these again at a decent price, I'd definitely buy them again.

I needed an extra boost trying to juggle work and a young child. I had this before back in college to pull through an all night study session, but now that I’m “older” I was scared of the potential crashing effects. What I do now is mix it with myRegular coffee and I am good through out the day. I don’t crash or anything. When I was younger I would drink it straight and for me I would crash once the expression wore off after a few hours.

This was the first time I tried this. I really liked it, but my 21 year old son lives with me and I only got to have one of them. I said he could try them and he kept turning the box so it looked like they were all still in the box. By the time I got to it , there was only one left! After drinking it, I can see why. Pretty tasty stuff!

I cannot seem to find this exact ingredient makeup since they've changed their boxes. Guess they eliminated this one.
