Love this warm little book about forest animals. I am a retired Spanish and Linguistics prof and my hobby is learning languages. I've studied two or more years of French, Dutch, Portuguese, Hebrew and ASL with a smattering of Italian and Latin thrown in. When I retired I took up Russian, a long time goal, but frankly one that frightened me off a bit. It is definitely not for the faint of heart and it has taken me four years of consistent self-study with a tutor and on my own to get to B1 level. This little book is just perfect for me. I have read it twice and will have my tutor read it to me at my next lesson. I love the art.

I love this book as an adult who wishes they could speak another language and my son loved this book as a toddler just starting to be really interested in words

Nice colored books for kids

If you are looking for a book to learn both languages Russian and English with your little one, then this is a great book! The only one thing is I wish it would be in a harder cover.

Only regret is it was not available in hardcover.

It's a cute story, but the book itself is not high quality. It's like a paper pamphlet. I was disappointed.

I enjoy reading this book for my kids. However, I discovered a set of blank pages. I haven’t seen another review with the same issue. So maybe mine is faulty. Out of 26 animals, I believe they leave out 4 of them. Assuming they intended to write little blurbs about all of the animals, I would account the four to the two blank pages. It would also be better if each animal got two pages worth of sentences about what they like to do and eat. Overall I am happy with my purchase despite the two flaws I aforementioned. I selected 3 years of age for a category but you can teach a child a language from newborn on in my opinion.

Very cute book. If you're learning Russian even as an adult, it's great for learning to read it and practice the language. Great illustrations too.

A wonderful way to introduce children to the sound and appearance of Russian words, and a beautifully designed book.
