Love the LD light.

No bad smell. On/Off switch on top of handle for safety. High wattage so it heats up fast and fun to watch it heat up. I would like to figure out how to remove the filter without damaging the lid. It pours easier when the lid is open and removing the filter would make it easier to pour with the lid closed. Most of these appliances do not last a long time for one reason or another so I hope this one is more durable than the average water kettle we have had in the past.

DO NOT BUY THIS POT!!!You can boil 1.7 liters in about 5 minutes. 3 minutes for 2 cups of tea. I changed my review. After a few months the pot handle was smoking and giving off an electrical burning smell and the handle started to become deformed. The handle would heat up to the point I could not hold the pot with my bare hand.I contacted the seller Mr.Pearl11 and was told that I could not return the pot after 30 days. I asked for the manufacturer's information so I could chase them down and get the pot replaced.Much to my surprise the seller refunded my purchase after reviewing my claim. Mr.Pearl11 is an excellent vendor and I will do business with them in the future.

This is a fantastic little tea kettle. Easy to clean, light weight, and boils the water in a pretty decent time. The only issue I have with it, is when you go to pour the water out you have to go relatively slow because of the filter on the lip of the lid. Not a big deal that's why it deserves 5 stars, but, just so you're not surprised when you go to use it. Still, a nice little kettle for the price. Oh yeah, the blue looks really cool! :-)

This pot out of nowhere. I'd say about 2 months in started giving off a burnt rubber smell. Then all of a sudden, a hole developed on the handle: the rubber handle was MELTING! And now it has a hole so big you can see the wire inside it! This is a FIRE HAZARD. DO NOT BUY THIS. When the hole was smaller than in the photo, one night, I was boiling water for tea and the kitchen was dimly lit and I burnt my palm. I have an unsightly blister there now. DO NOT BUY THIS. You have been warned. I'm contacting Amazon to get this off the market because it is dangerous! I have kids and i don't know what I'll do if they got hurt!

So far it has been great. I love the blue light that illuminates with the on button. Pouring water is slow and will dribble if you are in a hurry but hey...

Works as advertised, and very quickly at that. Also nice to free up the space on the stove - no more old-school kettle.

Don't buy this one. It is dangerous and the seller will say it has no warranty. After some use, the electrical wiring under the handle has completely burned through. It has auto shut off features, however it does not sense that it over heats the handle and to turn off the unit. For a while the handle was just hot but over time it burned thru the plastic handle. If we had not noticed this, someone would have gotten burned bad enough to go to the hospital!
