I pride myself to be one of the most technological and technology-based people I know, Knowing more about most complex technology in most of the people I'm associated with. but you don't have to be a techie to identify the the issue in this case.I have gotten this backup hard drives USB Drive disguised as a chess piece to hide data from, prying eyes.it was perfect, a little slow but otherwise fine, but I didn't even have it all months and not ship in the jump drive completely failed all the data lossed, luckily I was only using it as a backup so no date was permanently lost. however no brand-new jump drive or USB drive should fail after one month even with intensive use and this was not getting that. I am not saying they make a bad product I have the evidence to give proof to that, but I do believe this particular one should have had better quality control with their development before sending it out. if you're planning on a drive you can use long term I would not purchase this one,if they had one critical fail like this there is no telling how many more out there that have failed circuits

It has a great weight to it and I've had no problems with the magnets or condition. Love it! I'm getting the lighter one and one for my brother.

Verified disk size; write speeds appear to be standard USB 2.0.This is a u-disk, not a flash drive. Don't ask me the difference.Recommended Smith–Morra Gambit
