USB C Hub,HONGSEOK Ultra Slim 3-Port USB 3.0 Data Hub with Type-C Input Charging Port ( Power Delivery)

Just bought the new Macbook after owning several Macbook Pros over the years.This was my first experience with the new USB-C hardware. I did a lot of research on Amazon -- read many reviews -- and finally settled upon this 3-Port USB adapter despite quite a few dissatisfactory reviews.In short, I needed a 3-port USB Hub with charging pass-through. There aren't many really nice ones available, and this looked to be the most attractive and streamlined of all the devices I saw available on Amazon.When I first plugged it into my new Macbook, it worked wonderfully. I was able to plug my Mac charging cord into it (to keep charging my laptop while in use), and I also plugged in a USB thumb drive. No software or driver installation. Worked perfectly.......for about an hour.Suddenly, the Macbook stopped charging. The USB thumb drive disappeared from the screen. The USB hub had essentially disconnected itself.So "Wiggle Wiggle" went the cord. I found I had to wiggle the cord or even connect/disconnect the plug to get the Macbook to recognize the hub again. This is not good. You don't want this hub constantly connecting and disconnecting when you need it most.Furthermore, if you leave it plugged into your laptop and shut down or restart, the computer does not recognize the hub once powered back up. At least this was the case with my device. So, upon every reboot, you have to reconnect the plug.Monoprice makes a nice hub similar to this one that adds ethernet connection. I am going to buy that and return this piece of junk.I don't recommend a purchase of this hub. I am surprised that there are so many positive reviews, so perhaps I just got a bad hub. Just to be fair to the manufacturer.

Bought this for my Macbook. It was sleek, slim and worked perfectly until today, where it went completely dead on me. No amount of wire wiggling has done anything to make it work. Worst of all, it is EXACTLY 1 day after the 30-day window for refunds or replacement. Seriously?? So disappointing. Gonna go buy another hub from another vendor.

I am a nursing student and have a macbook air. While I appreciate how lightweight the macbook is (because I haul around 3-4 textbooks or more on any given day) I dont appreciate the lack of USB ports. I always have my phone, power bank and some other electronic devices to charge. Or my study groups phones as well! This device is only useful if you have the newer macbook with the USB-C port. I have an older macbook and was unable to find an adapter online (everything seemed to go in the other direction) so I tried it out on a friend's newer laptop. Seemed to work great for the needs previously mentioned! I however will likely be returning it as I cannot seem to find an adapter. I received this item at a discount for my honest review.

This cable is a nice gadget for you r computer. It arrived very fast. The only thing I was not aware of when I ordered it was the fact that it has a USB 3 connector (which is in the description, so my mistake), but you can get an adapter for relatively very cheap. It works as expected and it is small and compact which, in my case, is very convinient.
