Very good quality mount!
I bought this for my Garmin Echomap 93sv. This is a 9 inch screen, and it holds the screen very still even with heavy chop in a small boat.This mount costs a bit more than your other options, but the quality is far superior. Compared to the other mounts I bought, the build quality just feels good in your hands. It feels heavier like it was made with better parts. Then when you mount it in the boat and tighten everything down - you can actually see the quality at work.I'd buy this again if I lost it or needed to mount a 2nd screen.

It's a Ram Mount!
It's a Ram Mount; of course it works great. Center placement of the tightening nut allows eiother end to be opened and clamp on the base, the device ball or any other bracket with the same ball size. It tightens securely with only finger tightening (no wrench or pliers needed). I suppose you could use pliers to REALLY snug it down, but I finger tightened it and it doesn't move holding my Lowrance HDS 9. Anywhere on my boat that needs an arm has a Ram Mount!

better than expected
I use this mount to hold a Lowrance HDS5 on my fishing boat. When I ordered it I had the expectation that it would last a couple years and then I would need to replace it. Now having installed the mount and actually seeing it in action on the water, I think it may outlast my boat! It is constructed of a very dense ,hard plastic, I don't see breakage as I possibility, When tightened the unit stays where it was positioned even while pounding through very choppy water, The mount was very easy to install, it took me less than 30 minutes. One last comment, I keep my boat covered so I am not concerned with sun rot and that may or may not be a problem that could pop up for those who leave their boats out in the sun, This is a very good product and if I should every need another mount I will buy another Ram mount.

Works perfect for Garmin Striker Vivid 5cv
Excellent secure mount for Garmin Striker Vivid 5cv. The boat has been through all kinds of weather and chop and this thing doesn't move. Very good quality. Plus if I need to get it out of the way, you simply twist the knob to loosen it, and it easily moves to where you want it.

Awesome product
Love the ram mount had bought a ram mount from bass pro for my Garmin fishfinder. Didn’t realize I would need a second for my vhf I ordered one through Amazon not realizing I order a different size one from the one I bought at bass pro lol ended up working excellent love RAM mount really stable durable and great quality worth the money
