fits my large head, comfortable, adjustable head cord, nice job blocking sun all around
I have a huge head, and thick hair.. so my options to buy hats are often quite limited, especially I want something that leans "feminine". My head measures 23.25", maybe closer to 23.5". A lot of hats and such only accommodate up to 22"When I saw that this hat will fit up to a size 24" head, AND there was an assortment of colors.. I decided to go for it.This review is for the "Outdoor Fishing Hat with Neck Flap Wide Brim Adjustable Safari Cap" in PINK.The pink color is more of a soft purple. Reminds me of black raspberry ice cream. The hat fits my head. I like that it has a wide brim and neck flap. Despite slathering myself with SPF every single day, I also use physical blocks such as big hats, visors, scarves. It is partly to avoid damaging and aging rays, but also because I am on medication that increases sensitivity, AND I tend to feel unwell being out in the sun. I am outside often and for mixed duration as I have two young labs to tend to.There is a mesh area on either side of the hat to allow for a cross breeze, or to vent heat. There is a way to tighten up the head part, as well as a spot to secure around the face. The one thing I do not care for is that the design is off. This may go completely unnoticeable to you (or it wont be a factor for you). The chin strings (bolo style) to keep it from blowing off the head are permanently attached-- where many other styles have this designed to be taken off if one so desires, if they dont want dangling strings. And yet there is a spot with "hardware" where this could be done. See my pics!! Maybe it has been done prior, and this was incorrectly constructed. Or there was a design change and this was left on. I have no idea. That part has a little bit of nylon with plastic ring- situated on both sides of hat. This is normally where an open bolo would be attached (and be able to be unclipped). The ties that are permanently attached are more of a heavy shoelace feel-- again different than all other similar hats I have had. It's odd. Nothing I can do about it. Doesn't totally change my experience, or desire for another.. but I would prefer that it commit to using the same nylon straps, and either keep it as a permanent attachment and do away with the vestiges of any older style.. or get back to having the chin strap optional option. AHHHH, I see.. maybe the extra spots are for the colors that come with a mesh face shield (in lieu of the attached neck flap)? Confusing, but that could be it.Anyway, I dont use the chin strap, but I would on a windy day (almost lost it off head in a parking lot on super breezy day). On a typical day, the hat other wise has been very secure on my head thanks to the head strap adjuster. I can walk around, twist around, bend over, sweat.. and not have it move at all-- which is great.

Perfect hat for active outdoor
I wear this hat during farm chores. It's durable (I machine-washed it several times). The adjustable band allows it to stay on, even in the wind, without causing a headache. I don't even need the neck strap. I can put my hair up however I'd like and there is room in the hat. The wide brim decreases my need for sunglasses. The back of the hat does not have a brim, which I first thought was weird. But, I love it! It's less bulky and doesn't get caught and pulled off. I will be buying more colors!

Great sun protection, keeps shape nicely
I've used this hat all summer for 8 hours a day at amusement parks. It works very well. I love that it's lightweight, easy to fold into my bag, and the wide brim keeps its shape perfectly. I don't understand why there are little plastic pieces sewn into the under sides of the brim, but maybe they're to hold an optional face shield? The neck protector in back is the perfect length. It washes up very nicely (I wash it by hand and air dry it). Yesterday I had a chance to test how easily hummingbird poop can be removed -- it came off easily without leaving any stain. Highly recommended!

Good sturdy hat w/wide coverage
I purchased 3 similar style hats ranging in price from $14 to $40. 1) Brand: SUN CUBEWide Brim Sun Hat with Neck Flap, UPF50+ Hiking Safari Fishing Hat for Men Women. 2) Sunday Afternoons Unisex Ultra-Adventure Hat. 3) The Tirrinia hat I am reviewing. The $40 Sunday Afternoons hat was without a doubt the most well constructed and best quality hat of the 3, but failed miserably when it came to the length of the neck cape! This Tirriana hat covered most of the bases for my use. The cape was the longest by far. And it provides excellent coverage even with your head tilted forward while working out in the sun. Also, the brim is slightly wider on this one vs the other 2. The brim on this hat was also far more sturdy than the Sun Cube hat. This hat also has a nice terry cloth liner. And best of all... this was the least expensive hat of the 3!! The only minor issue with this hat is that the crown of the hat was sewn onto the brim a little off center. So it looks a little cooked on my head. But... the Sun Cube hat was sewn so poorly off center, it was at least 1-1/2 to 2 inches, and it looked ridiculous!

Great hat for safaris - wore it every day for 3 weeks! (Other caps flew off in the wind)
I wondered if this inexpensive hat would do what other, more expensive sun/safari hats would - it did!We went on 27 safaris in India and while my partner's cap flew off three times (to the grumble of the safari guides), this one stayed on. It kept the sun out of my eyes while photographing, kept the insects off my neck and back with the flap, and the only negative was how shielding it was with the wide brim, which got in the way of other people's photos. It would also be nice to be able to tie up the flap on the back for really hot days when you would like some air to circulate round your neck.Highly recommended.

Happy with this hat
OK, bought with expecting a hat that may not be for me. I have 3 Tilleys. My #1 tilley is well used. I needed a sun protection hat for my fishing. Once I received this hat and thoroughly investigated it, I realized this is not a cheap hat. The price is not relative here. The hat material is lightweight, paneled and the bill is shaped and firm. I went fishing and this hat because it is lightweight and with 10 mph wind the bill did not fold back like the Tilley. This purchase was a fantastic find. The cost is so low for a quality hat. I now have a new fishing hat. A very comfortable wearing hat.

Perfect.
Bought two. Husband has lawn service and won’t cut grass without this hat. It keeps the sun off of his head and neck. Breathable vents on head. Durable rim. Long enough tail on neck. He’s also used it while fishing to keep the sun off of his head and shoulders.
