My husband is teaching a mixed media art class in the local homeschool co-op. We were looking for a cost-effective solution to all of the various mediums he will use in a nine week class. We were super pleased to find this kit. In particular we love the table top easel box as well as the standing easel to allow the students to work in class and at home. The kit comes with a little of everything from pencils and paints to paper and canvas, to pallet knifes and mixing pallets, etc. We failed to realize there were no pastels in the kit, but instead it has watercolors. For most purchasers this would make sense, but my artist husband hates watercolor and wanted to teach the kids pastels. We will still do so, but not with this kit. The kids were absolutely over the top thrilled with their art kits and couldn't wait to open them and try out everything. This is a great value and I would highly recommend this set for a beginner or as a gift for an art lover.
