Be Prepared

My daughter (11) and I have both really enjoyed reading this graphic novel about summer camp. It's beautifully drawn and coloured. Anyone who has enjoyed Smile or Sisters will also enjoy this book.

So good to have a graphic novel with a female lead! Interesting how it shows that children are the same the world over while giving brief insights into Russianorthodox religion.

10 year old daughter loved this book. Written well with great illustrations, story of a wee girl trying desperately to fit in.

Bought this for my daughter after she enjoyed Anya’s Ghost. She was a bit confused by the occasional Russian words but learnt to ignore them and it didn’t detract from the story. She enjoyed it.

Loved this book so much. Relatable even for an adult after starting a new job. The children in my class love it.
