Great for an older beginner!
These training wheels did just what we needed them to do!Due to our location on a gravel road, our son is a little late learning how to ride a bike. He is nearly eight years old and 96 pounds last time we weighed. We finally had the opportunity to store his bike at a location that would allow us to teach him to ride properly. Unfortunately, he had outgrown the bike we had bought him that had training wheels, but luckily he inherited his cousin's bike...his size, but no training wheels. We went to our local Walmart and bought the brand of training wheels they carried. They lasted a total of 3 days before the plastic center cracked and the wheels were rendered useless. On top of that, that set was very thin and splayed out starting on the very first ride. They were obviously made for smaller children. So, on the hunt I went.I came across this set and after reading the reviews decided to give them a go. I was somewhat worried as some reviews stated that their wheels bent even though the rider was below the 125 pound threshold. I can very happily report from our experience, they will not bend under a 96 pound child that can't balance correctly if his life depended on it right now. Ha! At this time, we are very pleased with the sturdy nature of this set, but I will update should something occurs over the course of use.

Not what’s advertised
Installed on daughters bike to aid in her journey of learning to ride a bike. They bent under the slightest pressure. My daughter is in fifth grade and not above the weight guidelines suggested, in fact she is way below them. Would not recommend.

Great Buy and easy to install
I looked every where for training wheels to fit my son's new 20" wheel bike. So glad I came across these here on Amazon. Looks like the training wheels would keep fitting larger bikes, I'm hoping by then my son won't need them, he has been late to the game in learning to ride a bike. These are durable, were in great condition, and had all parts needed to place on the bike wheels. Thanks for making them!!

Works
Very sturdy and holds up well for an older child needing help learning to ride a bike. Does not fit the bike well though, had to mess ther bike frame a little too make it fit. Was not happy about that but it is what it is. They do the job they were meant to do.

DO NOT BUY IT, JUNK!
This review is for training wheels listed here under name: "Wald 742 Training Wheels (16-26-Inch)"First the good, they do fit 26 inch wheel bike. But the good ends here. We did buy them on Amazon two days ago, we got it very fast with Amazon prime, but they already traveling back to Amazon... Verified purchase will be shown only until return is completed. After that Amazon removes that note.So we got it yesterday evening and install it on the bike. Installation was very easy, there was a green small paper with instructions, but we did not even need them, you can see that installation is very simple and easy. But now the bad part, material, steel, that is used to make these wheels is very thin. May be it is not steel, I do not know, it is metal that is all I can say. 125 pounds limit is a joke, may be 50 pounds, but not 125. My son (75 pounds) put it on his bike, he was not able to leave parking lot and metal bend. He didn't even reach 5 miles per hour, I was walking behind holding bike from the rear. I do not think think there was any heavy weight on the wheel but it buckled. I attached picks of the damage, damage happen the first second he leaned on one side of the bike. After damage, it was very hard to remove it from the bike, damage covered bolt and it was impossible to get to it. DO NOT BUY IT, JUNK!
