worth it
Works great for lacrosse shooting, yes the pedestal is not sturdy so you have to spend $20 on a camera style tripod but so worth it.

Good product, except for the stand
The stand that comes with the product seems cheap and broke easily after a few uses. Still use the Crankshooter but with one of my camera tripods.Would have given it a higher rating but the cheap plastic stand lowered the rating.

FUN! Works better than expected
This is a great buy if you are looking for entertainment and just want to have some fun. We bought this for a High School Lacrosse BBQ. We set it up and the players shot all day long. It registers almost all shots. The really bad shots or or far of shots of course did not track, but everything else was registering. The high schoolers were typically between 65-75MPH. We had some kids in the 90MPH range. It is fun!

Cheap nase
My son has only used a handful of times. He went to use it the other night and the stew portion broke off the base. Amazon support was of no help..trying to contact manufacturer for replacement…

Love it for Lax
I bought one of these for my 5th and 6th grade lacrosse team and I love it. It was affordable, it's consistent, and it really adds a new element of fun to our practices. I usually set it behind the goal on a tripod that I purchased separately. It works even with a rejector strung up on the goal, and it's so easy to use that my second grader (junior assistant coach) can set it up for me. I have found it to be a great value, a ton of fun, and a good product.

Dry narrow range. Doesn’t register pitch speed well.
The media could not be loaded. Got this for a wiffle ball party to register pitch speed behind the target. Got the more expensive one ($150) thinking it would be better than others, but it’s very cheaply made and looks identical to the other ones selling for $50. So the biggest issue is if the ball doesn’t hit within 1-2 feet of the device it doesn’t even register or show a speed. Since the strike zone is a few feet tall/wide and we can’t mount this inside the actual strike zone it doesn’t pick up the pitch at all unless ball is very close.

Stopped working after using it three times.
I bought this for my son (lacrosse) for Christmas this year. We live in New England so it has sat unused for the first several months. We have used it three times over the last month but it stopped turning on as of yesterday. I have changed the batteries, it was always set up behind the net (not hit with the ball) and it was not dropped. Very disappointed in the quality, I would not buy. I plan on taking the back off it and seeing if I can do a quick fix, otherwise this will go in the recycling. The only good thing about this product is that it proved that I can still throw harder then my son ... gotta keep the little guys on their toes, right?

Good Read but Stand is Too Fragile
This lasted a week and the stand broke off. It was pretty flimsy. It still works but kinda stinks to prop it up.
