Q: I like my hair to be a very rich golden brown without any redness. Will this product look reddish on naturally ash-brown hair?

Pure henna is red, however if you use this med. brown it will be a med. brown result, will fade a little with shampooing over weeks, but not red to worry about. I mix 20% of my use of this one with the auburn henna from Light Mountain to get red highlights, but doesn't seem to produce enough of what I want. I may try 30% of the dry mixture as auburn and see if that looks like what I want. 20% auburn and 80% med brown and I still am not getting the red highlights I want.

Q: Is it OK to use reverse osmosis filtered water instead of distilled?

Yes - you can use any water, even tap water (not carbonated). But if using red henna and you want to get a deeper red out of it, you can add a few tablespoons of lemon juice and let the mixture sit for about 30 minutes. The color will deepen.

Q: Has anyone had a successful perm after using this product? If so, what brand/solution did you use?

How soon do you want to do it? I would do a google search - how long should you wait after you used henna. One thing I can say for sure - it can't be less them one month and it may be more. Henna has an ability when you mix it with other ingredients turn your hair green. So I would thread with caution, unless you want hair to become green (its kinda fashionable right now).

Q: Has anyone tried removing this color and coloring over with a regular hair color? I used medium brown henna yesterday and I do not like it at all.

You cannot just color over with a chemical ("regular") hair color. You can either use another shade of henna or remove it. It's a complicated process to remove henna from your hair. You can look it up on the internet ("how to remove henna from hair").
