Filters pollutants out of the water that many other filters don't!!
If your looking for a great water bottle and a great water filter combo, look no further. After researching the best in-line water bottle filter, I came upon the Seychelle 28 oz. water bottle. I have to admit it is a great product, great quality and works perfectly. The water bottle is not made of a hard plastic, rather its made out of similar material as hydration bladders. I have had success simply sipping out of the straw but the instructions state to squeeze the bottle from the middle to force water up through the straw. Either way worked great for me and having a squeezable bottle also allows you to filter water that you might want to use for cooking when camping. The soft thermal sleeve around the middle of the bottle provides a comfortable grip when using the bottle too.The filter itself, unlike many other filters out there, filters a wide variety of water pollutants. I was looking for something that would filter pesticides and fluoride from the water i'm drinking. And from my research, this water filter filters those contaminants and many more. Many filters out there only filter out things like lead or only a few pollutants. Additionally, this filter is rated to filter 100 gallons, I was looking into some other water bottle filters that have far higher gallon ratings or that can simply be washed and reused. However those filters don't filter many of the pollutants that this product does because, in order to be reusable or make the filter last longer, other manufacturers must make the filter pores larger, allowing more contaminants to pass through. If your looking for a filter to take out most of the pollutants in your water this is definitely the product for you. 100 gallons per filter is definitely good enough for me.While the water that is filtered doesn't taste any different to me, all in all, i'm very happy with the price I paid and the quality of the product. For me, a filter that got most of the pollutants out of the water was the most important thing for me and this definitely does that. If your looking for a great quality filter and water bottle combo, this is the best one out there in my opinion.

A Must-Have for Any Emergency Preparedness Kit or "Go Bag": You Can Drink from Anywhere!
I first used these water bottles while living overseas and had to filter my water on a daily basis. Bottom line: you can trust the water that you drink through this bottle! Its filtration technology is pretty awesome, and I've even tried out the whole "drink some water from a muddy puddle" trick and it came out perfectly clean. This was (almost literally) a lifesaver! After returning from Mexico, I purchased these water bottles twice (I got two this time), to stock and re-stock my Emergency Preparedness "Go Bag." The great thing about having them around (along with a couple of spare filters) is that they all but remove the need to store water in the house. I rest easy knowing that, no matter what emergency arises, my family will be sure to have enough to drink as long as we find a source of water somewhere, no matter how dirty it is at first. They're also small and lightweight, so they don't take up much precious space in an emergency preparedness kit. There's really no downside to them!A few tips:-Make sure you remove the sticker at the bottom of the filter before you start drinking! I made the mistake of forgetting it once, and the filtered water tasted rubbery for a long time. After removing the sticker the next time around, the problem was solved.-Because the filter is so heavy-duty, you do need to suck kind of hard to get water through the filter. I've learned, though, that you can simply squeeze the bottle and get water to come out, which makes its water accessible to kids or toddlers.-I recommend leaving them basically unopened until you need to use them. In my experience, the filters have lasted fine regardless of storage time, and I like leaving them 100% clean until they're needed.I'll keep using these in the future, and buying more as my family grows!

I like the quality of the filter on this bottle
I like the quality of the filter on this bottle, but I've had a few issues with it, so I am not 100% pleased. The filter has proven to be great, and consistently gives me good tasting water no matter where I fill it up. Good peace of mind too. I like that I can fill it up anywhere I go in any sink and know that the water is good quality. It also doesn't get smelly or any kind of musty smel like I've experienced with other plastic bottles like nalgenes. The bad parts about this bottle --I wasn't sure how to wash it, so I attempted to take every piece apart and put it in the dishwasher. I think that was not a good idea, but how else are you supposed to wash the straw, etc? When I took the straw off of the mouth piece, there was some type of glue around it, presumably to keep air out I guess? When I unscrewed the straw from the filter, it was difficult to get back on properly. It was like, you couldn't twist it too tight or it would just twist right off. Irritating. The next problem I encountered I believe had to do with my taking it apart to wash. I began to get air bubbles in the straw. Now, when I go into the bottle and tighten everything up as much as I can, it's a bit better. Over time though, they become lose and more air gets in and it's impossible to get a good drink without air bubbles and that sucks. Also, it's very difficult to just suck water out of it. You have to squeeze it with your hand to push the water through the filter. It's not really a big deal but I have noticed myself not drinking as much water because it's more of a pain to get the water out of the bottle and into my mouth! So keep that in mind. Those are some downsides to the bottle. Overall, I keep using it because I like the quality of the filter and I like knowing that my water is a really good quality/has been filtered well no matter where I get it. But it does have its drawbacks.
