I just washed them in warm soapy water and started using them, but you can just toss them in the dishwasher when you are done using them. They are FDA approved and BPA free. It makes it super easy to have kids help you in the kitchen because they can learn what each knife when you associate the use with the color. I just moved cross country to be with my fiancé and left almost all my kitchen items behind. So when I got to try the 8-piece Kitchen knife cutlery set, I was excited. What I like about this set is that it contains a Stainless Steel Chef Knife, Slicer knife, Utility knife, Bread knife, paring knife, cheese knife, pizza knife and it comes with a bonus ceramic peeler. This is a really good beginner knife set for any kitchen. I found that the chef knife, slicer knife and the utility knife are not very sharp when they arrive. I was able to run my finger across the blade and it didn’t break the skin. It’s not that big of a deal if you have a sharpener, which sadly we do not. I was expecting them to be kitchen ready out of the box. But it’s an easy fix in the long run. I did love the packaging on how the knives around. Each knife does come with a plastic piece protecting the tip of the knives. My favorite has to be the pizza knife, since I’ve never used one before. I found that it did a wonderful job and sliced through our pizza ring without any problems. I also liked that all the knives are all non-stick coated which makes them easier to clean. And because of the color coating, I knew which knife was what before I even grabbed for it. I also liked that the handles have a rubber non-slip grip and that the knives are BPA free in their coating. This is a great set to have for a younger couple or someone who is just starting out on their own.I did receive this product at discounted/free price for my review. This 8 piece cutlery set is absolutely DARLING. It's the perfect gift for a newly wed couple, or someone who loves to cook. The knives are made of stainless steel, and they colors just catch your eye. The set contains a stainless steel chef knife, bread knife, paring knife, utility knife, slicer knife, cheese knife, pizza knife and a ceramic peeler. The cheese knife and pizza knife have the words cut out of the steel. And they are incredibly sharp!! I used the utility knife to chop up some veggies and it slid right through with no problem. I also used the chef knife to hack apart some pork roast and it was so easy. They are easy to clean too. You can put them into the dishwasher, but it says to hand wash them to keep the life in them a little longer. this is such a nice 8 piece kitchen knife cutlery set! i love the bright pretty colors. they match my eclectic nothing matches kitchen perfectly hahaha! when i first took these out of the box i was pleased with the appearance first. they are happy and cheerful and have a nice design to them. after that i started using them, and i will certainly say they work very well. each of the knives has done the job i needed it to do thoroughly and easily. i also have observed high durability and very well structured handles. the blades are stainless steel with a non stick coating. the colored coating will make it difficult to sharpen these later, but it they are taken care of correctly that shouldnt be a big issue. im not really sure if they are dishwasher safe or not, but its really not good to put knives in the dishwasher anyway as it can dull them faster. its a nice variety set as well, containing 8 different pieces, it really covers everything plus the extras such as cheese and pizza. overall i am very pleased. i was able to try this item at a discounted cost in return for my honest review.

The presentation in the box itself looks amazing. All the knives had plastic protection pieces on them to protect the tips of the knives during shipping, which was nice. While this set does not include a block, it does have a nice box, with Styrofoam pieces, I use my knives and place them back in the original box for safe keeping. I really like the pizza and cheese knives, they even say on them what they are for incase you forget which is which. The set is very nice looking, with great colors to compliment any kitchen. This set comes with everything you need, including a potato peeler. This set would make for a great house warming gift or Christmas gift. The product itself are outstanding, but it is a Christmas gift and the box was damaged, it appeared to be smashed prior to shipping because there was not anything in the box except the plastic bubble packing. But, the product was outstanding.
