A fine addition to your wildlife accommodations
I have 14 bird feeding stations and 4 bird baths on 3 sides of my home, but bird baths are a real annoyance, since here in Gulf Florida we have so many mosquitoes. Their larvae require constant emptying and refreshing of the bird baths. This bird waterer is a welcome addition to my yard. It is inexpensive, easy to handle, and seems quite durable. It has taken a while for the birds to gather up enough courage to drink from it, but a titmouse has led the way. I am not sure whether larger birds will follow suit, due to the small size of the unit. The drinking area is too shallow to support mosquito larvae --- perhaps the water simply heats up too much in the summer. Thus, I only need to refresh the water supply infrequently. A nylon strap and a carabiner (supplied by me, not included with the bird waterer) make it very easy to remove the waterer for service.5 Stars. And I intend to purchase at least one more!

Works best outside
You fill it then turn it over. So water flows over the edge. To be fair I used it inside. It would be fine outside

Easy to refill
This item is easy to refill. I like the fact that it is clear so I can see when it needs to be refilled. The wild birds started using it within an hour of hanging it up. Only good for smaller sized birds. Blue Jays and Mourning Doves are unable to land on the perch as it is too small, and too close to the bottle.

Waiting to see...
It's good this is a smaller size, so easier for senior citizen to lift, clean, put together, etc. What wasn't as good, and I really could not determine this until I received it, was the tray is small, and the holes are such that after filling and flipping over( must do this fast or gets all over everything, haha), and getting it level, the water does not fully surround the tray and only a little stays in tray. If you try to tilt it to fill tray, it just runs over the edge. I think I'll prob get one of those standing pedestal trays for birds to bathe and/or drink in in the future. Not worth returning...had out hangin on tree limb for a few days now, and no birds have come and drunk from it yet..maybe it takes few weeks? It says to clean twice a week, but if no birds coming and water looks good, will not clean as frequently. (...and yes, I have it under some hanging trees, shaded and area where birds come to eat suet).

looks very nice...but broke into pieces when a squirrel dislodged it and it fell
I purchased this item because: 1.) it is a handsome unit, and 2.) the price is just too affordable to pass up. But here is my advice: PASS ON THE PURCHASE OF THIS ITEM.I have installed a number of the Roamwild Window Mounted Bird Feeder Bracket with Super Strong New Dual Suction Cups Outdoor [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YN2X5P2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) on my windows. These are extremely strong and attractive hangars that suspend my other feeders and water utilities. These devices are well engineered and very attractive. However, the squirrels in my yard climbed up to the window ledge and then jumped onto the plastic bottle of this watering station. The added weight of the squirrel(s) on the water bottle caused the Dual Suction Cup hangar to fail. The suction cup hangar and the watering unit both fell about three feet to the soft ground. This caused the watering bottle to crack. It didn't shatter....rather, it cracked in a number of places, rendering it entirely useless. I had the device installed for less than eight days.It was a popular destination for the Chickadees and other small birds that have been visiting my feeder stations for the last four or five months. There has been an enormous increase of birds visiting the feeders ever since I installed the feeders; almost like the news went our quickly in the bird neighborhood telegraph. All day long, but especially at early morning and then again at dusk, the birds gather in large numbers to feed. Before I purchased this water feeder, I was using a small weighted ceramic dish to provide water. So thirsty are these birds, I would have to refill the dish two, sometimes even three, times a day with fresh water. The dish was too small for a bird to bath itself in, but held enough water at a comfortable height for the birds to access. When I saw this feeder I thought it would be even better because I could hang the water feeder from the suction hooks, and it provided a larger diameter of space so more birds could use it at the same time. The device is easy to fill, but I never filled it more than halfway, because I wash out the feeder and replace the water with fresh H2O every morning.Upon receiving it I inspected the purchase. It appeared to be of strong, well-manufactured plastic design. But the truth is the plastic, although pliable, is extremely susceptible to a shatter impact. When the additional weight of the squirrels on the drinking surface of this water feeder device caused the hangar to fail and detach from the window, everything fell to the ground and the plastic water reservoir cracked open in multiple places like an egg that falls to the kitchen floor, rendering it unfixable and totally useless.I saved the water feeder platform, thinking I might be able to figure out a use for it elsewhere, but there was no other option for me than to throw into the garbage the plastic reservoir bottle. It broke under then most minimum of impact.I live in California where the winter temperature is only rarely below 45 degrees, so this incident was not provoked by freezing temperatures. Yes, it is an attractive looking device; and yes, the price is almost too good to be true. But one simple mistake: if the device falls less than three feet to the earth because of too much weight on it, or if high winds cause it to fall, the water reservoir will break and the entire thing becomes useless. Now, for the price some might think, oh well, I can afford the loss if this breaks. Well, for some of us Americans [especially those of us who are senior citizens living on a fixed Social Security income] sustaining the loss of this item's purchase price is a big deal in today's wintery economic climate. If you purchase this item, think carefully about how and where you intend to hang it so if it does fall to the ground, you can protect it from becoming useless should it fall and then breaks or shatters.
