Kuniyoshi is probably one of my top 3 fav artists. I was excited to get a book of his prints. Unfortunately a number of the images appear to be highly pixilated low-res images blown up to page size. Something I've encountered more and more in the age of do-it-yourself digital design.

This book collects some interesting images that are rarely seen but it is badly laid out and the printing is very inferior, with many blurred pages. It would have been useful to have had information about the artworks on the page, rather than having to go to the back of the book. Even then there is not enough information. The only text is a foreword of one page, so if you are interested in the history of these images or the artists who made them, this is not the book for you. Disappointing on every level.

Kuniyoshi is one of my favorites and this book collects some of his best paintings on nice big glossy pages. Most of these I've only ever seen as tiny thumb nails online so this book was great.

Priceless historical art for a steal! Great price. Love the prints! I also like the way the large prints are shown as a thumb print and then zoomed in ad three separate pages for an upclose view.

too many cropped images and the prints themselves are of poor quality - lacking in vibrancy and looks as though printed a size too big. there are a lot of artifacts around the edges. 3/10, would not purchase again for anyone.

Colors atrocious, all images trimmed to ruin the composition of the prints. Exploitive profiting of the artist.

Libro incredibile, immagini di altissima qualità, super dettagliate che per un appassionato come me del tatuaggio giapponese danno spunto tramite tantissimi soggetti a diverse idee da realizzare. Tutti conoscono Kuniyoshi e la sua arte, il valore storico che rappresentano le sue tavole ukiyo e da cui tantissimi maestri del tatuaggio giapponese hanno attinto nei secoli. Eccellente.

Un livre pratiquement sans texte, simplement des reproductions d'estampes juxtaposées, avec de nombreux agrandissements qui mettent en valeur la technique et les détails. Mon seul regret concerne les couleurs un peu trop forcées et le contraste un peu trop marqué, mais on découvre des œuvres que l'on ne retrouve pas forcément ailleurs !

J'ai découvert Utagawa Kuniyoshi lors d'une exposition. J'ai cherché sans succès un ouvrage sur son œuvre en librairie. Celui-ci est très beau, mais l'étoile manquante correspond à une partie non représentée.Le service après vente a été parfait.
