Perfect
Arrived on time and was perfect fit for boat trailer. Great product, great quality. Recommended to neighbor who then purchased for his boat trailer. Looks good, too

Works great on my utility trailer
It fit perfectly, though I did have to drill out one hole, even though I measured it as the tongue was a little higher than what I measured. I don’t have to fight the coupler anymore, which is nice. Great price.

Easy install
Bolt pattern matched perfect with my existing failure of a surge brake. Simple two bolts loosened, pop off with a claw hammer, aligned the new one and fastened the bolts. Was done in less than 20 minutes from when the package was delivered. Will be a huge improvement backing up with a solid hitch instead of the surge brake locking up in reverse.My surge brakes had rusted out and failed before I ordered this so I cut the lines and removed them. My boat only weighs 1500lbs so this hitch rated for 6k should be over kill.

Quality coupler
Great coupler, well built, can’t for wrong.holes line up perfectly on my trailer, and all of the parts work as they should. I would recommend this coupler for sure.

Surprising value find
I had recently came into a trailer for a sailboat, which had a boat on it already. However, there were definite aspects of that trailer that needed help. It had an ancient-looking surge coupler that needed to be replaced. I decided to install this in it's place. My issue, was that the boats we had loaded and were going to be on it, were up to 5000 lbs, and that wasn't even counting the trailer. Imagine my surprise when I found this coupler, at such a price, and with only a 2" ball size? And it definitely felt the part when I got it. We opened to straight weld it on all seams to the 3" beam we mounted it onto. Since then, have moved one of the boats 40 miles, with no sign of any trickery. The only reason I've docked a star, is the safety pin..er..well whatever that thing is. It's basically a clip that pushes in to secure it. Obviously helps keep cost down, but I would've gladly paid an extra few bucks for a real pin through there. I will be replacing it with one sometime, it's not a deal breaker. Just the only blemish on what otherwise has been a great coupler.

what an improvement
This hitch fit right on and everything lined up perfect. The only issue I had was getting the old one off. I had to cut the bolts off of the trailer because the were so rusted because of so many salt water launches. But this new one looks so much more heavy duty compared to the original one that came on the trailer. The metal is a lot heavier and the latch seems like it give a more positive lock to the ball. I couldn't be more happy with it. it's not the cheapest one out there but the price was middle of the road and the quality is very good. very pleased it is a noticeable difference that gives me peace of mind knowing that it will stay attached to my truck. I never had an issue with my old one but it was time to change it out it was over 20 years old and was starting to get sloppy.Mike Whitney

6,000# trailer coupling AAAA+++++
Excellent product heavy duty easy to bolt on used grade 8 bolts nice 6000# capacity excellent priceInstalled it on a thick wall 3" square tubing. Top two bolts run all the way thru the tube. Can't do that with side bolts because the holes are located too close to the top holes thus not allowing bolts to go all the way thru the side holes I just welded four grade 8 nuts inside the HD thick wall tubing and screwed shorted bolts in from the outside Worked just fine. The unit could also be welded on if you like but that would make future repairs much harderThe only thing that could be improved is the size of the safety pin for the latch. The one furnished is just too small and useless I just simply replaced it with a 1/4" HD pin from Tractor SupplyButch's Rods & Customs
