SOLID extension cord end
Received quickly (because of PRIME) easy to install , attached the 3 wires , slid it back together, fastened the screw to secure it AND ITS DONE… ALLS GOOD… Simple fix….Had a good heavy duty outdoor/indoor extension cord but some how stopped working. took a volt meter to it and it showed one of the wires had a break in it …. Luckily it was at the end plug (see picture). Saved me from having to buy a whole new cord….Thanks AMAZON..

Lacks Power Cord Strain Relief
The parts are well made and the design is sound, with one exception. There is no provision for a strain relief on the power cord itself. The hole for the power cord is fairly large, but not enugh excess space to install a zip tie strain relief. So, I ended up using "Gorilla Glue" which expands as it cures and inserted that into the excessively large power cord hole to safely secure the power cord from pulling directly on the electrical connections.

Very difficult to install.
Actually, this review just echoes several other reviews about the difficulty of installing. I am not a stranger to splicing electrical cords—in all different configurations—so, even after reading the reviews and watching the video, I just figured I could accomplish this anyway. So here are the issues:1) Video is not very helpful—too fast and demonstrators fingers are all over the connections making the process almost impossible to see. Also, what you can see with the installation of one of the prongs is that the wire is actually being place on the post counter-clockwise instead of clockwise so it will NOT actually wrap around the post as it is being tightened.2) As others have noted, there are notches at the end of the posts which, apparently, are designed to thread the wiring through—including the insulation—in order to hold the wiring in place. Not a bad idea, but it makes it very difficult to actually get the wire end flat enough to get under the mounting screw, even with the help of a flat-head screwdriver and even twisting the wire end and bending it into a hook with needle nose pliers to ensure it wraps well while tightening.3) The grounding post is actually loose and falls out as soon as the cover of the plug is removed. This is not necessarily unsafe—it is easy to slip it back into its rubber mounting. But because it is loose, you actually have to press down on it as you’re trying to screw the set screw while also trying to hold the wiring in place.I am not too proud to admit that my dexterity might not be up to the task, but I’m now going to purchase a plug replacement that 1) allows the connecting wire to be tightened between two plates instead of around a screw, and 2) that has a collar on the end that clamps down on the incoming cord to remove pressure on the internal connections. And, yes, Starelo makes those, too, which I will buy.

Inexpensive and they work just fine.
A bit awkward to fix the wires to the plug, but these plugs are cheap and work just fine.

Garbage - don’t bother.
Super cheaply made and the copper pins break out far too easily. Not worth the time
