The Wheel of Time Companion: The People, Places, and History of the Bestselling Series

Item was as expected and arrived quickly and in good condition. More of a reference book than a "read" obviously, but still a fun read, thanks!

I am on the last book of the series. I have enjoyed all 20,000pp. But the plot is complicated with lots of important characters who interact with many others and come back to each other in many ways. I don't have a photographic memory and found I used the Companion to refresh my memory and even learn new things about characters that weren't in the books. The bad part is that the entries contain spoilers for many of the characters and plot. I have to make sure I stop reading about a character if I have not gotten to the part described in the remaining story. I found out that one of the most important characters dies in the last book. That doesn't ruin it but the suspense is a good thing to keep. This is a worthwhile addition to the set if you are really in to the series.

Várias reviews reclamam do livro ser, na verdade, uma enciclopédia de A Roda do Tempo (de A a Z). Pra falar a verdade, o formato não me incomodou nem um pouco, e foi muito útil na hora de pesquisar personagens e outras coisas de A Roda do Tempo sobre ao quais eu ainda tinha dúvidas ou queria revisitar. As artes no livro, embora estejam em preto e branco, são muito bonitas, e a presença dos mapas da última batalha foi um adicional muito legal.Uma compra essencial para fãs de A Roda do Tempo que querem relembrar algumas coisas da saga, tirar suas dúvidas (como, por exemplo, descobrir a verdadeira razão das Aes Sedai terem a aparência jovem, ou resolver o mistério de quem matou um certo personagem), ou até ter um guia para ajudar em uma segunda (ou décima hahah) leitura dos livros.A cópia do livro também chegou pra mim em perfeito estado, e é muito bonita!
