Red Jewel Hummingbird Feeder, Glass Hummingbird Feeders for Outdoors, 5 Feeding Stations, 20 Ounces

Everything looked good about this feeder. I ordered two as they were a dollar cheaper than another brand that looked very similar. The order arrived quickly and both feeders were in excellent condition. I liked the fact that they were made of glass. The hummingbirds seemed to like them too. Easy to refill.At the end of the season I took the feeders down and let them soak in warm soapy water in order to clean them prior to winter storage. I was rinsing one of them off and to my chagrin found that all the red was coming off the glass. Initially I had believed the actual glass to be colored but that is not the case, theses feeders are actually painted. Not sure what was used for the coloration but it came off quite easily. I mean, the feeders will still work and seem well made but are now clear glass rather than red. Next time I would pay the extra dollar to get actual colored glass.

This is additional feeder I have bought in hope to prevent birds fighting for territory.Didn't work but it's way easier to clean due to wider bottleneck.This one has a perch, meaning for non migrating hummers you can attach a "heater", not possible for my 1st feeder without one. It was gratifying to see a bird trying to warm up on it on a cold winter morning.Overall they just voted for perch vs non-perch design, considering this one has additional plant hide out surroundings too

Within 20 minutes of hanging this hummingbird feeder I saw more hummingbirds than I'd seen over the previous 8 weeks of having a different feeder hung. I washed the feeder and added the 4 part water/1 part sugar mix and hung it up below a little ant moat I bought on Amazon for $5. The ant moat is also red so they look nice hanging together. The feeder is really pretty, easy to clean, and easy to fill. It's pretty heavy but I suppose that's to be expected since it's glass. It's been up for about 40 hours now and constantly has at least one hummingbird on it. The birds come and go basically nonstop. Some of them use the perches so I'm happy this feeder has them. I will need to buy a lot more sugar because this is sure to be empty in no time. I can't stress enough how happy I am I got this feeder!

I've always had that typical hummingbird feeder with the big 3D red plastic flowers with the yellow centers. I was tired of that design and wanted a second feeder, and looked around and decided on this one. I was surprised by the quality of it, with a thick glass bottle/container and partly metal feeder bottom. The wide opening of the bottle makes it much easier to fill than my other feeder too.The birds seem to almost evenly feed between this feeder and the one I've had for years, so that's a good sign. This new one is also just a lot more attractive than my old one. If you're looking for a first hummingbird feeder I think this is a great choice. I suppose if you're buying it as a second feeder the birds in your area might be used to something else, if that's an actual thing.I'd buy another one for myself if I needed it, but I will be buying another one for my Mom for a gift because she kept commenting on how nice it looked.

Wayyyyy better than the plastic bird feeders I’ve always used. They break and fade with use. This one looks as nice as it did when I purchased 3 months ago. Gets lots of action with the hummingbirds and no bugs inside- added bonus!
