It DOES work, if used correctly.
I was hesitant to buy one because I saw a lot of reviews saying it didn't work so I did some digging and found a blog from someone who used this for a year.First, these things DO work! Don't listen to the people complaining the hair doesn't come off. ALL of the fur/hair is NOT suppose to stick to the zapper. Think of it as little suction cup that goes in with your laundry. It pulls the fur off your clothes so your washer/dryer has an easier time getting it out of the fibers. Then it gets washed down the drain or caught in the lint trap. Just make sure to use warm water in your cycle if you want the best results.Second, LISTEN TO THE WARNINGS. Do NOT use fabric softener or dryer sheets. You shouldn't be using them anyway because it makes your clothes icky. Use distilled white vinegar in your wash load if you want softer stuff. Softeners/dryer sheets just build up waxy residue on your clothing to make it "soft" but that same stuff adheres the fur/hair to the fibers and ruins the zapper!Lastly, make sure you clean out your washer/run a quick empty rinse cycle and clean off the lint trap! My trial wash was like 3 blankets my cats (3 short hair, 1 long hair) all love to sleep on and let me tell you......my lint trap was so full it grew a tail when I pulled it out. Far more fur was pulled from those blankets than I'd ever had before. Was there still some left? Yes, but those blankets had a month of 4 cats worth of fur on them. I even had to rinse off the zapper because it got so much off that some still stuck to the Zapper.Tl:Dr -It works, just don't use with fabric softener/dryer sheets, use warm water for best results, and clean your machines!

Did not work.
Followed directions on the package. Did not use fabric softener or dryer sheets as instructed. The product removed very little of the pet hair from the item I was laundering. I will be returning.

Works sometimes
I was very excited to get this to catch the fur of my new puppy in the laundry! She sheds a lot and it is on everything. The fur zapper is a very cool concept, and I feel that it does work 60% of the time! Sometimes I take it out and noticed it has caught my hair, the dog’s fur, and other little lint pieces, and other times I take it out and it has caught nothing. I feel like I’ve noticed a difference, so I continue to use it even if sometimes it doesn’t seem to catch anything. It goes in the washer and dryer and never seems to dry out or crack.

It’s good
I been using it as directed. I noticed it works better when it’s not a full load. I use this on my dark clothes because I have an orange haired cat & my clothes collect so much hair. It worked really well on my blanket that was covered in hair. As far as my clothes not so much. I put it in the washer & dryer with no dryer sheets no fabric softer. I had to take some clothes out & throw it in twice and there’s still cat hair on my black clothes. I feel like it got most of the hair tho, just not all of it.

No animals? Get it anyways!!!!
I use this as someone with no pets and a crap ton of hair - this is amazing! I recommend this to anyone who is tired of having hair on their clothes. There are a few parameters that I learned for it to work best. 1) you need to have space in your washer and dryer for it to move around to all your clothes (I recommend 1/2-3/4th full) 2) having more than 1 is very helpful! That makes sure it gets more chances to capture the hair. 3) using a lot of soap or detergent nullifies the stickiness in the washer! So limit how much you use. After getting it out of the washer, it’s so easy to get all the hair off if you run it under water. Then it’s good as new!

Doesn't deliver on its promise
I have a white, long hair cat and was hoping this would help cut down on the amount of hair constantly on my clothes and linens. Despite using it in both the washer and dryer with my laundry for several months, there is very little hair attracted to the disk and while it may pull some of the hair to allow it to be caught in the lint trap, I can say that I've noticed any difference. Did not live up to expectations.
