Q: How well does it work in both soft and compacted beach sand, at the beach? Thanks!:)

I've only used it on soil, both soft and compacted. It worked just fine in both. Never took it to the beach...sorry. It locates property pins really well; my primary use.

Q: Is the coil on the ACE 150 waterproof?

Yes, the COIL is waterproof but note that he control box is NOT. You can get into the shallows with the coil but you must be careful not to drop the control box into the water or allow it to get wet.

Q: Will this detect titanium?

Yes the Ace 150 will detect all types of metal including Titanium
