Dreamy, inspiring, excellent world recipes
The cookbook is beautiful, with tons of recipes and inspiring photos and stories. The recipes however, are what stand out to me and my husband. I have made several so far and they have been OUTSTANDING. Not just good or great, but so incredible. I don't usually make an expensive recipe from a cookbook for the first time (as not to waste my money if the author doesn't know how to cook), but I tried the Leg of Lamb with Oregano and Lemon. It was sooooo goood! And I am glad I did not waste my money on that very expensive piece of meat. Pork Schnitzels, was a recipe I have tried to make well for a long time without much success in flavor. This recipe was very delicious. My husband travels overseas a lot because he is a soldier, and he likes the middle eastern food he has when he goes over. I have a hard time recreating them, because I don't know those flavors. He has loved everything I have made from this book and said they taste like some of the good meals he has had overseas. The Tzatziki seemed like it was tedious to make for a yogurt dip ( I have made that before), but after tasting it I saw why the steps were so important. They made a plain yogurt sauce condiment into something spectacular! I can't say enough good things about this book. I am not blowing sunshine either. It's on a shelf with my few favorites now. I plan on making all the recipes in the book and buying the other books by the author over time. I hope this helps; I always read the reviews on amazon before buying a new book.

One of my favorite cookbooks!
This purchase was actually my second, I gave away my first copy to my daughter and realized I missed it so much I had to purchase another copy.I love cookbooks that have beautiful pictures and prose along with recipes. This one does just that. What makes it very enjoyable is how many very easy recipes it includes that are family friendly. So far I have not met a cookbook by Tessa Kiros that I didn't like for these very reasons. Some cookbooks have beautiful pictures but aren't practical while others have great simple recipes but they aren't enjoyable to peruse. Tessa's cookbooks are just what I enjoy, she makes it fun to read a cookbook with a cup of tea and perhaps a cookie at one's side... just for the fun of it.

Best Value Cookbook
Just stopping by to write a review before ordering more of Tessa Kiros' books. I've never made so many recipes out of a cookbook! It was on my wish list for a very long time and I'm not disappointed! Tons of recipes, amazing pictures, and touching stories to inspire any cook.

Great cookbook. I bought a copy when it was first released and picked up this copy to give to my in-laws over a decade later because I loved it so much

Lovely, interesting, and delicious...
I am in love with this book... The recipes, the stories, the photos... And most of all, I love how the book is laid out by cultural/geographic regions... You get a more immersive look at the food of each culture, and you can see how each dish fits into a meal... You feel you're having the same meal the author is, and not just copying her recipe... One of my favourite cookbooks of all time...

toccante
