This has a nice and has a heavyweight to it. It is a very well finished piece with chrome over Cooper. It works very well on my $4k turntable so it should work on any. The only thing more I could ask for would be a thin layer of rubber on the bottom so I don’t have metal touching my albums.

This record weight is a great bang for the buck. Admittedly, I bought mine more for the aesthetics than it's functionality, but it looks great and has a nice, high quality feel to it. The box it comes in is a nice bonus, and mine arrived in great shape.Use discretion on which turntables you use this on - at 504 grams, I'd say it's a bit on the bulkier side of a "medium" weight. You should be fine using this on any quality table (especially good vintage direct-drive models like the Technics SL-1200, which are well over-engineered for their purpose), but it may be a bit heavy for some tables, particularly some entry-level belt drives. A clamp or lighter weight is better for the latter.

I bought a high-end record player but found that any warp in my old records made the balanced tonearm jump and skip. This weight took care of that and I'm now able to listen to my old LPs the way they were meant to be heard!
