It's true, there's a hat man.
Good to know that this thing is real and not my imagination. This book makes me feel like I'm not crazy and imagining things, a great validation to those that have witnessed certain paranormal events. Since I am a Christian I appreciate Heidi's approach to these subjects since only through the body and blood of Jesus can we be saved. Below is my experience and God bless everyone."It started in 1991 with animal size shadows in my bedroom for about a month and led up to a visit by this hat man. He was bending over my bed from where my feet were and getting ready to strangle me. He had a huge smile on his face, his white hands were almost around me neck when I opened my eyes. Big white teeth, red eyes and dressed in a long black trench coat and wide brimmed black hat. It still freaks me out and I knew it was real and not some dream since I jump up and started to kick and punch at it then turned my light on and it was gone. Never saw it again after that since we moved and it didn't follow me. I was messing around with Ouija boards with my girlfriend at the time while doing drugs, so I'm pretty sure that was the cause. We had many odd experiences that were obviously evil after the use of that satanic witch board. Never use one please, it's not some game just because they sell them at stores and online."

"""" THE SHADOW HAT MAN IS REAL """"
Thank God for this wonderful and fascinating book that has at last been written. As a man who has absolutely seen The Shadow Hat Man on two different nights standing at the lower corner of my bed, this "creature or man" is very real. Why he chose to visit me is a mystery. I can tell you he is real because I HAVE seen him twice, and it nearly scared me to death on both occasions and I was paralyzed with fear. No, it was no dream, sleep paralysis, reflection, joke, hallucination, or my mind playing tricks on me - he was real and looked just like what you see on the cover of this great book and the website. I saw another Shadow Being when I was a very young boy after my Mother died so suddenly and tragically. Heidi Hollis deserves a tremendous amount of credit for contributing this fantastic book and website to try and help us victims to understand what, or who, this entity is and why he contacts us certain people. I don't believe he is harmful becaue he could easily have killed me on those two frightning nights back in the early 1990s. He just stood staring at me both nights for nealty half an hour or so. Trust me, I thought I was dying. I lived in a one bedroom apartment at the time. The Shadow Hat Man is real, and read this great book to find out for yourself that you are indeed not crazy or dreaming things up. I rate this book a five for its contents and for the brave lday who wrote it. We have seen the impossible and lived to tell about it!!!!BLC

This book had REAL potential to be a good book. The author gets INCREDIBLY preachy about God, Jesus, Christianity, Angels ect ect. That was a HUGE turn off. I don’t have anything against Christianity, the Bible, or God/Jesus. What I have an issue with is the soap box this author is on.The final straw for us was when she said “Some might even turn to numbing their insight via drugs or alcohol, or they get overwhelmed to the point of inspiring mental illness to settle in.” P151. This is one of the most tone deaf statements about mental illness if Ive ever heard one.The author goes on these long drawn out tangents like someone would do if they were talking to someone in person. Incessantly promotes her other books. The use of the smiley face emoji’s was excessive. It doesn’t seem like this book was edited and if it was it was done by a 6th grader. This book would be perfect for the tongue speaking Christian groups but for those that are looking for a book with more substance and think speaking in tongue’s is ridiculous- there’s a dozen others out there that are better than this.

An interesting read, but one written from a fundamentally Christian perspective.
I would first like to start by saying that I like Heidi Hollis. I may not entirely agree with her world view, but I have always found her video blogs quite interesting and entertaining. As far as the "Hat Man" is concerned, I purchased the book because I have had encounters with this being myself for many years and I was very curious about experiences that others have had. I must admit that my own encounters were incredibly different from any written about here, which left me puzzled, but understandably so. The book itself is well written, and Ms. Hollis reports on many accounts that were submitted to her over the months and years. The book itself, however, is written from and fundamentally Christian point of view. At one point, Ms.Hollis refers to Christianity as being the owner of the "One True God," which is fine, but please understand that there are millions of people who were raised in other religious backgrounds, or who willfully converted to another faith who wholeheartedly disagree. She also insinuates that pagans are "ego" driven because they would rather "cast spells" to get other to do as they please rather than "saying their prayers at night." Ego maniacs are be found in every religion. People are people, so let's drop the stereotypes please. Overall, it was a fun read, but unless you are seeking to understand this phenomenon from anything other than a fundamentalist Christian point of view, I would steer clear.

Interesting but flawed.
I've you're looking for great prose, you're not going to find it here. Written at a grade seven level, Hollis documents her experiences with the Hat Man over the years, in the end surmising that he is a powerful evil force akin to the devil. She frequently digresses and tries to plug her other novels throughout. There are punctuation errors and at times it's even difficult to ascertain if she even has a point. This is the farthest thing from scholarly prose you will ever read. I gave it three stars only because Hollis includes actual emails from people who have encountered the Hat Man, either in their sleeping or waking worlds. Some of these first-hand accounts are entertaining, others are downright terrifying and offer a rare glimpse into the mysterious Hat Man phenomenon.

Many thanks
I cannot begin to tell you how long I have looked for answers. Your book explains everything I needed to know in a easy read format. Heidi, by writing this book you now have and will have changed the lives of many people... Not changed.. Saved. That's how I feel at this very moment. You saved me, and for that I do not know how to ever repay you. You are a shining bright light! Thank you
