Q: Can it be used to cut frzen food?

I use it to cut electrical conduit, so I'm sure it will cut through bones, but my experience with frozen foods suggests that the available blades are probably too fine toothed and would load up the teeth making it act as though there were no teeth at all. Meat and frozen food blades have widely spaced teeth like those on a crosscut wood saw. I would suggest that you try food grade stainless blades in a sawzall (reciprocating saw). They work very well.

It has a metal cutting blade,it would be your choice to use it on frozen meat,do I think it will cut it,yes I do

Q: Why does it cost 30 dollars more on here, then home depot?

Cause Home Depot is a big box store and they can buy in bulk to get better prices and then they can set their prices to help the consumers

Q: What are the specs for the battery & charger -- can you get generic?

Sure you can buy after market but ryobi batteries go on sale so often I usually stay with the brand although any ofthe 18 volt batteries will work I usually use 4ah with this tool.
