False advertising! Paint will wear off
The description of this item has some false advertising:“Measuring guilds will not rub off, with regular use.“ ... “Dishwasher safe”In fact, the painted increments on these shot glasses do wear off with regular use. I tested this by running the same two in the dishwasher after regularly using them. The final one was saved to hand wash only, and never run through the dishwasher. It turns out that the painted on measuring increments on all 3 of these glasses eventually rubbed off. Those that were run through the dishwasher wore off more quickly. The hand washed one still rubbed off, but more slowly. Overall, the glass is durable and can withstand a dishwasher, and forces applied to the top of the shot glasses. However, be aware that they will eventually turn into normal shot glasses. You might be able to faintly make out the measuring lines, but it is quite inconvenient when compared to when they were brand new.Overall, these are standard sturdy shot glasses when it comes to the glass itself. Yet, the painted on measuring increments could have been made more permanent. The manufacturing process could have been changed to allow for this. Some Pyrex measuring cups with painted on measuring increments are known to last for over 10 years, while being run through the dishwasher all the time. This is evidence enough that it is possible for glassware with this type of red painted on measuring lines to withstand that type of regular use and cleaning. So, although the red painted shot glass looks similar to those pyrex measuring cups... it is not the same. It will eventually wear off, contrary to what this item’s description leads you to believe.

Handy. Until the ink markings come off...
I've bought two "sets" of these over the last 3mos:-The first I bought as a single cup. I used it for measuring drinks (liquors, juices & liqueurs). This one lost it's markings within 2 or 3 weeks of buying it. No unusual use or abuse: just the above ingredients and a few trips a week to the dishwasher.-I chalked the failure up to either a bad instance, or bizarrely strong detergent (though it hasn't touched any of our other glassware or plasticware, including the Perfect Beaker I bought at the same time). Plus it's a handy item, and there's not much else available in the niche. So for the second go-round, I bought one of these three-packs, to try to get more longevity out of three than I had out of one. The first of the three in the package began losing it's markings within three weeks of use. And this time I studiously avoided letting it get near a dishwasher: hand-washing only with nothing more than hot water and Dawn liquid. I've still got two more, but to be honest, I haven't been inclined to pull out and begin to ruin another one from the spares.Beyond the above, they are pretty handy (while the markings last): Nice mixture of measurements, and it's a lot simpler to use one of these with to measure 1/4oz, rather than monkey with measuring 1.5tsp with two different measuring spoons.Hmm, maybe I'll see if I can scribe or otherwise permanently make some markings on these so that I can use these for more than standard shot glasses.

in my quest to perfect the DIY All-American Iced Caramel Macchiato I was having ...
So, in my quest to perfect the DIY All-American Iced Caramel Macchiato I was having some serious trouble getting the espresso and vanilla syrup proportions correct. I needed 30 - 60 ml of espresso and 1 TBSP of vanilla syrup. I really, really hate fumbling around with measuring spoons and I store those in a cabinet so they were really not the ideal tool for the job. Also I had no way to accurately measure milliliters with anything in my kitchen. These little shot glasses are so awesome because I can keep them right on the counter next to my espresso machine. They hold hot and cold liquids. They clean easily with a rinse in the sink and the multiple unit types on the side are wicked helpful when I need to switch between different measurements. My favorite color is the white, but when you're working on perfecting that all-American drink, a red white and blue color seems just feels right. Great product. Thanks!

Looking at medicine cups gave me the idea.
Following some Sichuan recipes, I thought that all these instructions for teaspoons and tablespoons of this and that have to be strictly followed are really making a mess of my spoons. I wished I could use the plastic medicine cups I have but they didn't have the right measurements on them. I thought I would have to "invent" these but here they are. Now I can not look at the Kung Pao chicken recipe with dread and desire.

Useful tools to have around; very helpful when needed.
The mini measuring glasses are very useful to me in measuring small amounts of fluids accurately, instead of relying on "a good pour", or a capful of something. I don't drink, and so have no use for them as shot glasses. But for scientific, workshop or technical use, they are very helpful. Also, because they are color coded, this helps me keep track of what's being used for what. Markings are clear, and there are multiple measures, adding to their usefulness.

Shot Glasses
These are great, my only issue is it would be nice if they were plastic. I am using this for a speach therapy device for my son he likes to drink milk or water out of these and see the lines go down as he drinks. So again it would be nice if their were a plastic version of these. I"m sure the speech therapists of the world would gobble them up!

Must crush many medicines
These jiggers work very well for my individually crushed medications. I must crush, add water and ingest each one into a syringe to administer.
